Hmmm... Surprising!

This wavelength gives just about the same power with 405-G-1 vs 650-G-1...

Maybe just about 7 or 8mW's less. (@ 450mA's current for my test comparison)

Edit: From lens tests that I did a while back with a LOC, there is about a 5% difference with 650-G-1 vs 405-G-1...

I guess it's still about that same difference with this 'orange' diode...

But a way bigger difference vs AR acrylic.

Alright Guys,

Last night i shot a single video for you to see the difference in power on My laser between the AR coated Acrylic Red lens and one of Jayrob's Killer 405-G-1 Lens.:eg:

Unfortunately i do not own a Jayrob 650-G-1 lens to test with but he had some result listed above.

I think this is going to make you guys:  It sure made me.

First Part of the Video is the Test with the AR coated Acrylic Lens...
Second Part is with Jayrob's 405-G1 lens.

For the First minute and a Half I forgot it on Macro but i realized it and Switch it to Normal. Sorry about that.

As you can See the Insane power increase. 150mW more Power is a Nice amount and can tell the difference Quit a Bit.

The Lens is Well Worth it.

Now to get the Right Prism to fix this Beam.:eg:

It also Seems to clean up alot of the Artifacts around the Dot "line" that the Acrylic Lens Gave.

Man Iam Excited even more now. I dont think i will be putting this G1 back into my 2W Arctic. I will Just have to buy another one for it.

Iam Enjoying this laser much more now.

Wow that''s nearly a 40% increase in power vs AR acrylic!

I measured a 30% increase, but maybe with more output, the increase is more??

Not sure, but that is awesome!

Yes you see it how i see it. ~37% Increase. Thats why i did it back to back.

The G1 Lens Sits so Close to the 635nm Diode. its more closer then when using the 405-G1 on a 445nm Diode. I would have thought it would stick out further like when using a 405-G1 on a LPC.

The 650-G-1 should be about 5% better vs 405-G-1 per my measurements. But that's not a huge difference. Some though...

Also, the 650-G-1 is not as close focus in design vs the 405-G-1. Still a close focus design, just not quite as much as the 405-G-1...

Its on the list to buy though. All i have a 405-G1 "2" & "1" G2...

But none the less these are the best lenses on the Market Ive seen and are well worth it.

Maybe Jay will give you a good rate for being a good customer, and providing all the info he asked for.
