I would like to buy an argon laser

Dave -- if this monster works, next summer, it's my swimming pool heater :-) plus laser show.

I can't even get it in the house because of the weight.

We're ready do build dollies with wheels to move this bastard around. It better work when powered up -- It comes with all cables but I may have to adapt the water connections.

Welllll --
Here's my new ArIon laser. 240 Pounds of Enterprise II and still on the pallet. It will take a few days to get it ready to power up.

So you want a gas laser!!!!

GGus or Chris -- Do I need to jumper a couple pins for start-up?

I would just give it some water, turn it on, and see if it starts.

If not, then you may need some jumpers, but generally on the big lasers you dont need any.

My 168 requires an interlock but it is literally a two-pin plug that says "interlock".... pretty easy to figure out! hehe.

CAn you see how many hours are on the head? Do you have a HV source (like a hene power supply or a tesla coil or something)? If so, give it a quick zap (avoid where the mirrors seal to the tube! (that is, if it is a sealed mirror tube, which I think it is))

If the gas excites when you hit it with some HV, then you know that the tube is at least gas intact.

Thanks Gus --- We'll keep in touch.
I have to get it off the pallet and connected to H2O !!

WELL who going to top HMike w/ this fatty- and they have two of them shipping from TX Spectra-Physics 2020 15W Ar/Kr LASER w/ Power Supply NR - eBay (item 390108479071 end time Oct-27-09 14:08:43 PDT) You are bidding on a Spectra-Physics Model 2020 (full model: 2025-60) 15W Argon-Krypton LASER, with a 2560-56 power supply/controller. These are used, with some cosmetic scratching in the paint from handling (see photos). There are NO interconnection cables included in this lot, and we are unable to test beyond verifying that the power supply will turn on. This LASER was removed from service with the unhelpful description "Broken" on the invoice we received. Judging from the revision history tags on the sides, the previous owner kept them fairly up-to-date, but that is all the information we have on this lot. NO manuals or additional accessories are included if not shown. Photos show the actual items you will receive.

Model 2560-56 Power Supply:
