Sure it's waterproof....  I thought everybody knew that.... :
The crystals don't absorb any water but get cooled down proportionally to their size....
and the Laser diode is waterproof because it has a glass lens protecting the internal laser die... Duh...

I thought water could damage the circuit (passing from the on/off button for example). There are specifically water proof laser pointers anyway.

That's your problem.
Have you tried soaking it in water yet? That may help.

You guys have it all wrong. You have to boil the laser for a good 15 min. I did it with my 10mW greenie and turned it into a 250mW gamma ray laser .000000000001nm!!

holy 5h!t! i just soaked my 20mw greenie and it can roast matches like no other now! It must be outputting like 60 mw now :O

Your laser seems like its not really meant to put out >50mW's so it puts out a lot then quickly drops to a low power level. You could watch this video on ebay lasers that should give you a good idea of whats happening.

The best Experience is Personal Experience...  with some common sense thrown in...

Anyone believing this....  :

probably aims at aircraft and shouldn't have a laser anyway....IMHO  :-?
