Surely putting them in the freezer is the better option.

;D

I'm serious now. I did that to my DX30 for like 30-60s and it actually worked better afterward :o

It had the dimming problem so it became very weak after just a few seconds. I think the problem was because of the heat, although the laser didn't became hot. Anyway, it would explain why it worked better after it was cooled. Still dimmed after a while, and i'd have to cool it again.

Re: i wna make my 50 mw green , light matches , ho

Hi Guys,

I've been looking to purchase a green laser in the UK that's rated above 5mw and I'm not nearly enough learned to attempt building one myself.

So I set myself the task of finding someone who could build me a 300mw laser if I gave some specifications of what I'm looking for.

Now I found an advert "professional-equipment-construction.vivastreet.co.uk/professional-equipment-construction+london-se28/high-powered-green-and-red-professional-lasers/11311434" that suggested I could have a laser built to my specifications so I thought it would be a good idea to get in touch with the seller.

The seller got back in touch with me and told me that he could build any laser uto 500mw and quoted me a price between £315-345 for a 300mw.

This sounded pretty good as I've googled green lasers and found some quality but certainly more expensive lasers which I wouldn't want to import because the private postal service in the UK is a joke and I'm paranoid that an expensive imported laser would be stolen in transit!

Now before I committed to the purchase I decided to google the seller's moniker and I ran into this particular article.

The funny thing is that the seller happens to be quite familiar with you guys because his name is Mercerless! :o and from what I've read in just these two pages clearly indicates that he has almost no knowledge of building lasers...

To make it worse he copied and pasted a technical spec for the DX Firepoint 300mw which is selling at $361.

Whatever his intentions happened to be, I'm glad I stumbled upon this website because you've clearly exposed this guy so thankyou to you all!.

Encore.

Thankyou Laserbee/Jerry.

I've been perusing some of the articles here and I must say there are really quite detailed and informative - perfect for someone like me who needs to make an educated decision before committing money to anything!

I'm really impressed with the 170mw violet/blue-ray lasers that IgorT is currently working on so I decided to PM him asking if I could purchase one.

Thanks for welcoming me to the forum and I will do my utmost not to post questions which have been answered in a manner which points said questioner to an article specifically dealing with those questions! :).

By the way, this is an excellent forum and while I may not yet have anything to contribute yet - I sure hope I do soon!

Thanks,

Encore.
