I'm finally taking a stand against the way Reputation works here at LPF. Just because one person who has a bunch of reputation points and has been on the forum a while -Rep's you, it can easily negate the +Rep's of countless other members, reputable or not. On eBay, seller rating/reputation doesn't carry that kind of weight, and it works very well. Basically, a veteran's + or - reputation should not be worth hundreds of reps from newer users. I understand that changing the way something as serious as that works is no easy task, and C0ld already has more than enough tasks of far-greater importance to be focusing on, but I just felt like I should state my opinion and see if maybe anyone else agrees with me.
And yes, as you might already have noticed from my slightly agitated tone, I am mildly frustrated with a recent Rep deduction I have been given that has carried way (in my opinion) too much weight and, once again, more than negated a lot of previous positive reputation. I would like to ask ahead of time that I am not flamed with negative reputation for stating my opinion here, and if you disagree with it, please do share with me your reasoning by posting in the thread.
Here's to a pleasant upcoming discussion
