I'm going to rep you just because you actually opened up a thread outlining how you felt instead of having a tantrum like many others.

I think you can understand why we are very cautious of people asking such questions as lasers have a horrible reputation as it is. It wouldn't take much for this forum to be shut down or a member arrested.

In the tragedy that the forum does get shut down, what do we do, do you think? We should have some sort of backup domain that if we ever come on this forum and it's not here, we go there. :angel:

It's kind of like a community MSN where people on lpf can chat using instant messaging.

Well thank you all for your support.
Now, even though lasers are most used in scientific experiments we all like to have them just to shine in the dark.
I personally always look into trying to make some kind of simple experiments with my kids.

Only have a few at the moment, getting a replacement diode for two of em and also have a kryton on order.
