Well parkour is free :D What's your skill level? Got some videos?

I hope you got some good terrain to practice, around your neighborhood. Hard to come by, back home. Here in the city where I go to college there are a few interesting spots but nothing youtube-worthy.

Now, before I say something I'd regret on what I really think about parkour, someone please tell me what the fascination is.

LOL, exactly the same as with every single other thing that can ever be called a "hobby". If you do not share the enthusiasm over it, no combination of any words in any language in entire universe is going to make you magically understand it anyway.

Same as with people who on pure reflex immediately ask you "What's it for?" when you show them a laser.

It's not about practical purpose, it never was. It's about yourself. If you enjoy it, keep doing it.

Personally, parkour brings out the best in experiencing progress, achieving something. Typing this post is a 21 year old, who spend his first 18 years sitting behind a computer and hating things with "outdoor" and "activities" in their names. When I was back in your equivalent of 9th grade, I could wrap my index finged and thumb around my biceps and touch the tips of those two fingers together. Now I can do stuff from one-armed push ups to pulling myself up 10 foot walls and all that. But anincrease in my physical strenght, endurance and stamina is just an extra bonus, not a goal.

Like in any hobby, hanging out with people and sharing your experiences and progress, and challenging new obstacles is the fun of it all.

For the end, I'll just leave this here.

Video didnt do much for me, if it had a positive impact on your life like that then it must be worth something. :)

MOTOCROSS, Lasers, Xbox, Offroading (truck, ATV, Dirtbike), Working on my bike :)

Archery. Xbox. (gamer tag is Asher RaVeN if anyone wants to be friends) lure fishing (tried fly fishing it's cool and can be most effective, but I prefer my rapalas and kastmasters. too impatient for bait fishing, I have to be working the reel). My african grey congo. (parrots). gaining knowledge. guns a little bit. my laser sight got me into my latest hobby, which is... what was it again?

Lasers, Computers, Gaming, AFL, hoping to get into photography soon when I get the money :)

new to lasers as of a few weeks ago, but I enjoy photography, aviation, guns, gaming, motorcycles... I like to learn new things. I used to scuba and rock climb when I lived where it was readily accessible. Of all my hobbies, I think photography is the one I'm the most versed in, so if there are any aspiring photographers out there with questions, feel free to PM me.

Cheers!

Anything with an engine, guitars, fishing, boating well I guess boating and fishing go together, atv riding, trail riding in the jeep, hauling azz in the mustang, and now these lasers.....no wonder my wife is mad at me. Oh yea almost forgot about bike riding....as long as it has an engine.HAHA

Lasers aside, I like to fiddle with electronics. I have been playing the acoustic and electric guitar for 3 years now. I am a small time aquarist, too.

Edit: I forgor to mention that I game a lot (PC. Consoles suck :p)
