Right now I can't put any weight on my bandaged foot. The pain is too much. I am eating pain killer pills now.

I know from my experience, it turns going to the bathroom.. into an adventure (as you, no doubt.. have discovered by now) be mindful of what you eat...an drink:beer:

Follow whatever the MDs say--stay off it until they say OK to put weight on it and do some PT--they will probably switch you to a walking cast with anti-slip insert/sole when you are ready to put pressure on it.

Thanks for all the comments. I can feel the pain is already much lessened.
It is actually non existence if you don't move the foot.

Also the nurse ate the first aid hospital was a beauty. A beautiful young girl with blond hair. She helped me just before the operation. That ease the pain a lot.

Sounds like the beautiful young blond is almost worth breaking a foot for!

The hospital stuff is very strong. For the complete narcosis I have to breathe an air mask. It was hold by a nurse a few mm before my face. It didn't touch my face. The air smell fresh and pretty good. I took a few breathe and was completely of the world.
The next thing was the awaking in the IC room. :tired:
I didn't remember anything of the operation. The narcotics was strong stuff !!

My favorite is having a 400lb cardiac arrest who decides to die on the toilet inside the smallest bathroom at the end of a long skinny hallway. People always find themselves in the worst places when they need help.

Hey! Waking up and crapping are strenuous activities :na:

Remember, I was mining at the time of my accident.
I was wearing levis and high top, lace up boots.
My boot was actually holding the ankle immobile pretty well.
If I had owned a truck with an automatic transmission,
I would have driven myself out of there

Of course then the story wouldn't have be nearly as fun

The hospital was enjoyable as well, but let's save that for over beers sometime

Surprisingly I've never broken a bone in my body..

I managed to throw a dart into my leg once, I won't be doing that again anytime soon!

I've never broken any bones really...
I've had multiple stress fractures in my foot though due to have no arches. It has also left me with chronic pain if I stand in one place for too long. I learned that lesson when I tried to join the Navy.

I had a cast on my left arm for about 2 months (almost cracked elbow, was like half-cracked or however you say it), twisted my anckle so I was walking funny for about 1 week (and not at all for a few days), and that's about it really. I know people my age that probably glow in the dark from all the X-rays or something.

What do you mean by stress fractures and having no arch in foot? Is that similar/same as having flat feet? That's what I got, but I can stand for very long time if needed.
