I resigned from selling on eBay in March or April of 2010, when they made that particular season's policy change that screwed over sellers, and I decided that I was smarter than to get taken advantage of in the way eBay had decided to take advantage of sellers.

I cannot recommend selling on eBay to ANYONE. Just... don't.... do... it.

I take that back...

If you are happy giving away your stuff for free, and undergoing a lot of hassle to do so, and having your sales revenue held for an indefinite time while eBay and PayPal collect interest on it, then by all mean sell on eBay.

Don't feel bad... I got a Neg Feedback from a NON PAYING
BIDDER that did NOT send any payment....
The transaction never happened but eBay allowed this
Deadbeat to give me a Negative Feedback even after talking
to eBay by phone..
Their excuse... That's eBay's policy...
F#$k them...

Time to play their game... Found out some strange stuff
yesterday...

Not? what about the sceneraio that they make a bit of money of all those holded transactions?
 
I am eBay "Top Rated Seller" with 100% feedback rating,
But with eBay new rules, I can openly say that eBay sucks.

This is my DSR seller rating - You can clearly notice 1 complain on Shipping charges even though my all listings are with free shipping, and for international buyers real-time USPS shipping is calculated by USPS. :)


Average detailed seller ratings - Low ratings(1s and 2s)
Item as described 4.97 - 0.00% (0)
Communication 4.98 - 0.00% (0)
Shipping time 5.00 - 0.00% (0)
Shipping and handling charges 4.96 - 0.47% (1)


Ebay sucks- Paypal so far very good.

^^That should not be. When leaving feedback as a buyer that feild is always grayed out with a 5 star rating if the item was free shipping. I would call them if it was free shipping and have them fix it.;)

After 11 years on eBay I should know that.

Maybe because I almost completely get focused at my Amazon, and stand alone web store.

Soon , I will be eBay/Amazon ($$$ commission) free :)

I just got a partial refund the other day (TY, you know who you are) and Paypal has decided to place a hold on it. I was the buyer! So now my order for 3x RCR123As will be charged to my bank instead. Not terrible, but now I'll have to go through the hassle of xfering the cash out of PP again and back into my bank. I NEVER keep funds in my PP account.
 
Had this exact thing happen a week or so ago. Called them up and said "uhh, it's a refund, why is it on hold" - the guy made up some blah blah about bank accounts, and the next day the money was back in my account.

No idea if it was due to the call or not, but may be worth a try.
 
I agree eBay's days are numbered if they treat sellers that way.

There is a buyers side too, however. So many many people have paid for items that do not exist and/or were never shipped and then eBay tells buyers to contact police or FBI about being ripped off becuase that eBay has no liability of any kind and so on. Perhaps, they are holding money due sellers now for 21 days or until proof of shipping due to give buyers a chance/at least some protection.

Don't know what the answers is. The whole Ebay thing/system is not very good---have never liked or used it. You always are taking a chance with eBay the worlds largest garage sale--buying or selling--only eBay always wins.
 
I've not relisted any LPMs on eBay since and plan not to
until the eBay mandated stupidity has stopped...

@RHD heruur is chris... he is still selling laser stuff he won
on an industrial auction. IIRC he was thrown off eBay for
shill bidding. Buyers beware...
