Due to the fact that no one on this forum, and I mean no one, knows the exact type of diode that are in any of these blu-ray sleds, datasheets are kinda scarce. If, in your journeys throughout the world wide web, you come across any conclusive information that leads to correct identification of any blu-ray diode on this forum, complete with manufacturer info, specs, etc.., we'd all like to know. All this speculation is exactly that, speculation.

that's "annals", not "annuls".
To annul is to make null, to cancel
"annals" are.. uh... historical records? journals? something like that. At the least, it's not anything similar to the n-singular of the word (which as an epithet could be hurled at one who is picky about grammar) unless you're talking about old paper journals, which could be used in the maintenance thereof ::)

I am often shocked by some "English" i read on this forum. Especially, when it's written by people for whom it should be the first language..  ;D


BTW, the "12x" diode is dead.. Lasted less than an hour at 193mA putting out 154mW.
Interestingly enough, it's still a laser! But a 6mW laser with a hole in the middle of the beam....

Oh well. It was fun while it lasted....


EDIT: Ok, it's completelly dead now.

i have seen that with an 803t diode... put the lense in backwards, it looks cool :)
