GB: Firedragon 300mW 532nm - $149 - A GO! COLLECTING CONTACT INFO!

Yup, to be honest I'm VERY surprised... but two test, and so far results are pretty consistent.

Initially I planned to just sell it, when it came in at 300mW.... but I'm pretty confident that it will hit 500mW on a fully charged AW IMR (charging right now).

Also because I ended up ordering late.. the laser was only $140... which for a class 4:D is absolutely phenomenal.

Now my next green will have to be a bit more expensive... I'm thinking the 600mW 532nm from Jetlasers, but going to be a while before my wallet can handle that.

Of course right now it also looks like maybe there are new green modules coming out.

The 445's the 635's... and high powered greens... this is turning out to be a spectacular year for lasers:san:

It makes the lack of a 510nm diode as anticipated, less of a disappointment!

Very true:( but I always leaned toward the higher end of the visible spectrum anyway. After seeing start wars as a kid, my dad managed to get me some very lustrous/glowing red paint (no small feat in former ussr) and with some assistance I built a lightsaber... at least it looked like one at night:eg:

Edit:

Did another LPM test. This laser seems to fluctuate somewhat in power, but overall it's fairly consistent. the drop off at the end is when I turned off the laser:)

But where on earth can you buy aw cells? They are so good but noone sells them? Also do you use the imr or the protected ones?
I bought some black trustfires from deal extreme (supposedly the best chinese), almost a month now and still waiting for them! :eg:

You can get them for around 12-20 dollars each direct from AW over at cpf

CPF is down atm, will post the links then its back up :)

+1 to anyone who can explain to me how to actually purchase something from someone at CPF marketplace.

I've tried two or three times. Apparently, although I have used my CPF account, somehow on the "CPF Marketplace" (wtf?) I get the pleasure of being subjected to a giant red splash page that obscures the top 10 inches of every god damn page, and stops me from actually posting? Give me a break, I'm not a child.

FWIW, I think CPF is the most god-damn obnoxious forum on this planet - and it has nothing to do with the people, but rather with the whole forum software and general approach to life that it's designers take.

i had issues with CPF too
i made an account some time ago asking to buy a dorcy flashlight
they closed my thread because i posted in the wrong section, but when i followed the link to the right section, i also get the red "READ THIS" and i'd need a whole lot of requirements (post count, rep, ect)...

I don't get it. I've been trying to ask a question on this thread:
--> FS: Cottonpickers Chargers incl. Worlds smallest Li-ion charger with display - Page 19

My question is: "Can the $7 mini voltmeter be added to an order for one of your items from this thread, or only to an order for an item from your solar panel thread, where the mini voltmeter appears?"

For some reason, they won't approve that question. How the hell am I supposed to get three posts to my name, and thus have the ability to actually post, if during this pre-three-post phase, they would let me actually post ?!?

This is obnoxious. I'm trying to buy something from one of their members, and the moderators won't let me speak. LPF may not be perfect all the time, but at least it doesn't make me want to nailgun myself in the temple.
