I dont know exactly what IC design is meant for those boards. But i know you can Fit a LM1117 type driver build on them. You just have to get creative.

Thanks ..... yes, it's a bit too blurred, i can see only some of the tracks paths ..... anyway, probably (say, 90%), a linear driver, that use an op-amp like 1358 or similar in SOP8 case ..... the voltage reference can be a TL432 in SOT23, and the space for the transistors are small, it suggest me that originally it was designed for a low power LD.
Sorry, can't guess more than this, from the pics ..... it can probably be "rebuild", if needed, or the tracks can be used for host a different schematics, like 1117 in SOT223 package.
EDIT: about the switches, thanks, but i already have lots of switches around.
