GB | 515nm Diodes - Payments Stage Starts at 10th July

Re: GB | 515nm Diodes

Ill take 2x 515nm with module, still thinking about the 450nm one, though.

Re: GB | 515nm Diodes

Quick question, what kind of modules are these (Aixiz, DTR)? And what lens do they have (if any)?

Re: GB | 515nm Diodes

I am very interested, though I have a question:

What is the beam like on the 515 diode? Is it safe to assume I don't need a lens on this, and I can just press it into a heatsink without a DTR/Aixiz module?

Thank you!

Re: GB | 515nm Diodes

Im down for 2 515s and 2 450s as well. Id like some more info on the modules and i might be in for them too!

Re: GB | 515nm Diodes

Is there a cap date on this?! Its starting to get crazy

Yes you will need a lens for the diode! A lens in an AixiZ/DTR module would suffice (and be very easy), but you can buy your own lens if you plan on putting the diode in some other heatsink.

The beam's brightness will be comparable to 532nm light of similar power. As for color, they will run bluer, especially if you under drive them. I'm hoping to get sub 510nm with one of my diodes by driving it near 10mW!

Re: GB | 515nm Diodes

When I try and look up plpb450 here it comes up with nothing. What am I missing and why buy one over a $10 more 9mm other than price?
Did you post that pen build Crazy?

Re: GB | 515nm Diodes

I think it's supposed to be a PL TB450B. That
would sound about right. They will do about
2W @ 1.8A IIRC.

Re: GB | 515nm Diodes

Also, if they are the PL TB450B, they have a tighter beam than the M140's, so better burning capabilities, and it would just look better.

Re: GB | 515nm Diodes

Thanks LS that's got to be what it is.

Re: GB | 515nm Diodes

Will you please check the prices for the NDB7675 and m462?

Also, a little off topic, crazyspaz, did your chrome pens come with buttons?

Thanks for hosting this joker!

Edit: mind if I add columns for other diodes?

If you do please be careful about moving my cells that add up the totals and modules

Yea they did, did yours not?
I wont have money for another week, so when I do I will be in for a greenie.

Great, thank you for the information!

Another question: Are you going to be our USA distributor, or has that been decided yet? If you are, would you be willing to take delivery of a DTR module and press my diode in, for a fee?
