GB: 2$ copper modules ALL SIZES CLOSED

Lol I doubly that ;) if aluminum is ~150 then this being ~310 makes sense, ;) I think it's good but isn't pure copper aprox 355 (correct me if I'm wrong)
I saw that chart, they look like different units of measure to me? But the manufacturer also sai it's great for heat dissipation

Pure copper is about 395 W/m-k but most "copper" is around 355 W/m-k. C10100 copper (99.9% copper) has about 390 W/m-k.

Ok I've just gotten an aloy, it's C3600, it's a copper with aluminum alloy. If you find more accurate numbers I'll take yours. This can't be bad it's copper mixed with aluminum, mostly copper of course ;)Still looks like it definetly won't be brass

And as for the money back if this ends up being non copper then they said theill refund it but I'm confident theill be copper ;)

The fact that the manufacturer says its copper has a thermal conductivity of 310 W/m-k then claims it is C36000 (61.5% copper) which actually has a thermal conductivity of 116 W/m-k, and further says the C36000 alloy is copper with aluminum when it actually is copper with zinc and lead, makes me raise suspicion if they really know what they're talking about...

Before the order is placed get the supplier to send you an E-Mail
confirming the material that will be used and was ordered including
a copy of the mechanical drawings that THEY will actually be using
for the production as a last confirmation that all is what it should
be...

Jerry

I will be receiving a final confirmation email tonight about the material, I already have the confirmed drawings/ design pictures and now I'm just working out the materials, they said C10100, C11000, or C14500 copper is no problem. :)

I'm making sure this is copper, not brass I assure you  if they end up lying then we can get our money back through complaining to the company directly or ill deal with PP to deal with them, but I assure you I'm making sure this is copper not brass or something else.

I know that you have the original design drawings... What I was
saying is that you need a copy of the drawings they will actually
use for production in case they may have made changes or a
decimal point was dropped if they made photocopies...

They already don't seem to know what common Copper is...

Yes that's what I meant I had when I said I had the confirmed drawings :p
I can email them to you if you'd lik

And I'm going to make sure these are copper. And they now will be ;) thanks to everyone for helping me with the copper crisis. Saved us all from getting BrassI'll +1 you ASAP ;) I'd still like to confirm that we are getting copper not brass now:D

I understand everyone's concerns, I was super concerned when will mentioned they mix it up with brass  I went to contact the manufacturer immediately and it's now fixed  I dont want to lie to people telling them it's copper when it's brass :)
Once again thanks to everyone who let me know of this issue, luckily it was stopped on time and we are getting copper :D

Thanks AnthoT for working so hard for us, I think all of us really appreciate the effort you're putting in this.

Yeah thanks for putting this together.

And +2 to Jerry (LaserBee) his advice is sound, you don't want to go through ALL this hassle, to find a decimal point has been dropped somewhere and we get .56mm modules

My concern is that if it is a Chinese shop that they don't CARE what it is, as long as they get the order and money.

You want C10100 - SURE, we can write that on the paperwork!

true,
Chinese manufacturers are willing to write anything you or they want on their products, I've dealt with them before, but mostly all the manufacturers offer good quality and bad quality versions of their products. :D

They always have what you want but it's up to you to make the deal right and get the real stuff. You can bargain endlessly with them and lower the price a lot but trust me that there is no free lunch.

They can tell you it's the real deal (show you pictures and everything to make you believe it) but when you get it it's not. IMO there is a reasonable price for everything. Most of the time with them is like "you get what you payed for not what you asked for" :D:D

Samples are the same deal - they send you the good stuff. You like it and start to bargain for lower price.. result: don't expect the same as the samples :D

I mean, we also have to give Chinese sellers some credit: we got companies like O-like, CNI, and Lazerer as well.

So there ARE really legit ones, it's just distinguishing them from the bad ones that's hard, since they all write in Chinglish and sometimes give wrong info.

Yeah, I am generalizing but you will come out far ahead if you go into it with my attitude and cover your butt than if you go into it with the attitude that everything that is promised will come true and trust them.

It is a very different culture.

Wait, so this is a Chinese company, right? I bet that if we outsourced this to an AMERICAN or a CANADIAN company, we could get close to the same price for faster shipping and better customer service. We have a large enough quantity here that I am sure it will be very nearly the same price, and I certainly would pay 25% more to make sure it's copper, have it made in America/Canada, etc.

Anthol has mentioned this numerous times, that the manufacturer is not CHINESE but Japanese
