Game: Guess the mystery object !

BudK wins ;)

It's an old typewriter bell (used in those all mechanical typewriter machines)

Hint : It is used in wood preparation .

Dang that was fast .. You have the use right . Bend for what purpose ?

With that shape, it can be for a lot of things ..... musical instruments ?

I would support BudK in saying this is the bell from a typewriter.

I own one of those bottle opener rings posted earlier - you cannot imagine how often I have been glad to have it on me!

EDIT: Well that reply came a year too late..
Here are 3 different objects you guys can have a go at. I am going to a restaurant in a moment and grabbing a plane tomorrow so it might be some time before I can tell you who is right. My ring is the 4th one in the background.

Hint: All of them have to do with movement.

I see a gas capsule, might be CO2 or N2O (yummy,yummy,dizzy):D

Jaseth: the middle one, near the bottle opener, is a CO2 cartridge (can be for guns or for seltzer bottles), the rest don't know for now :)

Well, i'm going to bed ..... in the meantime, try to guess what those 2 components are (from 1975 ..... not exactly electronic archeology, but also not the last available technology :p :D)

(BTW, the part number was written that way originally, not from me)

Opto TX & RX?

Again this is VERY specific specialist stuff that very few people will know...the aim of the game (maybe i should have made this clear in the beginning) is to take stuff that we've ALL maybe of seen, and either macro or strange angle / part foto it.

EDIT

Now updated the OP.

Nope, the component in my pic ISN'T an inductor (What I originally thought at first too). Not a fuse either.
