Re: FS: Sanwu Laser store - R/G/B handhelds x3 BE & Stainless steel "The Spiker" rele

That's another reseller, but you should get it. It looks like it's just the BE with no adaptor so it will fit 301/303 and such but not M9 x 0.5 lens barrels.

Sanwu is here > https://www.sanwulasers.org/

It will fit ready made lasers with 10.4 x 0.5 threads like this.

yea, the way i saw it, they sold it for the Thor laser, and showed it fits the threads of it. i have a thor laser, so i took the star cap that came with it (same threads) and checked all my lasers to see if the threads were the same, using this ghetto method, it appears all of my lasers including my used challenger 2 should have no problem without the adapter :)
also, i had that same green laser untill yesterday :/ lit a match too close to the lense and scorched it when it lit. oh well, was only 10 bucks

EDIT--- now im not sure about it... read this a few pages back from electricplasma

I bought Podo's BE, adapters, and star cap pattern things. The adapter he sells mounts straight onto a module or anything with a standard 9mm lens thread, and replaces the lens with the adapter that threads with the BE. It also has a collimating lens inside to replace whatever lens you had before. The BE works on some lasers without the adapter, though I have yet to see it on any laser w/o the adapter that isn't Sanwu branded. Hope this helped.

so i guess we shall see :/

Yea if your Thor has the 10.4mm threads and uses a 3 element lens then if you can adjust your focus, set it to a line at 20 feet and screw in the BE, then do your focusing with the BE

:thanks:

will remember to do that when it arrives!

I fine tuned my run out and locked it down, plywood in my basement pops out an open flame at 15 feet, paperbags at 20 feet are instant but my unsteady hands today took a few seconds at 50 feet, still no problem but it's very hard without the 6X cyls and 3X BE. Smoking holes yes but reaching flashpoint no, not without the 6X cylindrical pair and the 3X BE, the mighty 44 is just so divergent.

@ Ushan, Na, it's just for fun, but safety 1st. ;)

↑↑ i think you built the real life equivalent to :lasergun:
and does the whole laser look like an old fashoned security camera to anyone else?

LOL, you just named it, it's my security camera build, the other someone named my moped muffler. :D

Most of it is batteries, 3 x 26650 and I do build compact units, but they get hot fast, I put 3 x NDB7875's in a chunk of aluminum and in 2 minutes it was really warm, almost hot.

Remember the diode bleeds down output as heat builds up at our overdriven levels, and I like to play a lot, so for fun big is good, if I wanted to build something sneaky it would fit in my hand like a small gooseneck flashlight so it looked like the beam came off of the top of my fist, maybe with a pommel battery tube cap sticking out the bottom of my fist, but these are all for fun.

Multiple beams look cool huh? I want to do a 6 beam circle, that could be neat.

i know its not what you mean, but i just imagined this- Vortex Green 532nm Laser Gloves DJ Dancing Club Rotating Laser Show Light Lazers with high W blue lasers. imagine burning a circle into plywood with it... or mod this one with 465-470nm diodes- http://www.ebay.com/itm/650nm-Red-L...495085?hash=item35cc0a51ed:g:riQAAOxyHBBSOAyM

and yes, multiple beams looks amazing! i bet it makes it a breeze to focus as the focal point is super easy to see

I know we are getting off topic, but the spinner at least is moving so an eye flash would just be a short duration pass, but those gloves look dangerous, if they were high power they would overheat, but even 50mw of dpss 532 can hurt our eyes badly, I could see a rave with a hundred people waving laser fingers around, you know you're going to get hit.
Maybe if they were all 5mw 532 fingers and the club had a good fog machine.

no, no, not to use at a rave xD i meant it would be cool to be able to walk up to a piece of wood/cardboard and burn a perfect circle into it kinda like iron man's gloves
back on topic, my 500mw pocket 445 and batteries should be arriving tomorrow!!

I just now made a short clip of an all time favorite diode.

Here's a NDB7875 running a 2.4 amp SXD driver and 2 x 18350 cells, it has a 3 element lens and is good for at least 2.25 watts, these are still great diodes but they are discontinued so get one soon while you can get a fresh unused one, sanwu sells good lasers and DTR also sells the diode/driver.

Re: FS: Sanwu Laser store - R/G/B handhelds x3 BE & Stainless steel "The Spiker" rele

woooo!!! just recieved my pocket from sanwu!! mail lady tried being sneaky and just dropping the "sorry we missed you" slip in the box, but luckily i have dogs :) will edit this post with pics later when the batteries come in

http://imgur.com/a/RLRs0?

only issue is the focusing lens is making a wierd splash around the dot when focused to inf.. i removed the lens and held the one from my challenger 2 on it and it went to a perfect dot with no splash. maybe something in the lens hitting the beam? (edit- it came with a g2 lens, could it just be the type of lens? i have no idea what lens is in my challenger) i will message Podo to see if i can order a new g7 lens. other than that, this baby is perfect!!

heres a look at the dot with the challenger 2 lense held in front of it.

EDIT-- I swapped the g2 lens with the one from my challenger and it's a lot better. Weird thing is I put the g2 lens from the pocket into the challenger and it looks as if I never swapped them. Also, after using it for a while, I'm starting to notice the color isn't really 445nm but more in between 445 & 405nm. Still after swapping the lens to what I'm almost positive was a g7 from my challenger the beam has been reduced to a super bright pencil line in the sky. And since my challenger now has the g2 lens, it's become quite the burner!

Did I read somewhere that your driver will reduce power if the laser becomes too hot?

Morning Sanwu;

Have a question; if I buy a used Sanwu, is the warranty transferable if the unit is still within the one year guaranty, offered on your website? Thanks :)

Yes but the owner must provide the order number for us to follow.
