- my diode set at 1200mA very bright, when i use G2 len i see wide dot and beam as same as blue diode. it is not too wide as MItshu P71,73,7x and sharp.
i like it
- in the picture 2 dots laser , i take photo at about 300m

This guys creations are supreme, both in design and workmanship:

OK, I raved on and on, but what can I say, I'm pleased with these....

I was looking for the red beam shot that showed the divergence of this build. As you said, it isn't as bad as the Mits ML501P73. I see the blue beam shot and it is not great. The hosts are nice looking, though.

Look at the picture of the spots on the far away building. You can see the red next to the blue.

Oh, there it is. That looks as wide as the blue, if not wider. I am all for a 635nm diode with better divergence than the Mitsubishi P73, but I have to see a comparison to believe it. Color me not convinced. :D

 With all that Texas sun, I believe you could be red. At least in the summer, Len. BTW, :thanks:

What diode did you use for the blue laser build? Is it a NUBM44 or something else?

and what collimator? dot will be about the same if 3elem on red (say p73) and G2 on blue. Is that the trick? Nice host btw

I have gone back several times to try to get an accurate comparison between the red divergence and the blue divergence. The red still looks wider to me, but the PLTB450B diode has a better divergence spec than an M140. Again, good luck with your sale. :)

Red looks about 2x wider and almost 2X thicker to me, I would expect worse unless a single mode red.
