FS:Machined Aluminum Hosts

the next ones might not even have the grooves.
I would like to try brew's idea of cutting rings into it that i can slip rubber o-rings over....this would allow me to give color themes just by using different color rubber o-rings.....would also give it a nice grip....

but these will have to sell first.......since i still owe $100 on them and i am selling them for no profit...

Yes, actually I like BCM's idea even better :)
If it works out well and the fins are the same width as the body.. here is one happy buyer!
I might even take one of the current hosts off your hands, I have a 151mW 532nm module from Susie which has not yet found a home. Just have to check if there is any money on my credit card.

they now seem much better than the initial spiral design :D.

*if* i get another batch made i'm going with Brew's rubber o-ring idea, this will also lower the price on the hosts as Eb told me those grooves take a lot of time to cut into the handle.

Goodness me, I remember the days when we just used hollowed out flash lights as hosts. Now we're getting professionally machined, custom made aluminium hosts as the norm!

'tis brilliant ;) I'm not looking for any hosts at the moment but if I do, I'll be seeing if you have anything on sale :)

You can just leave the focusing ring on your lens and it'll be just as easy to focus as any other laser....

Cmon, guys - BUY THESE so we can get ahold of the O-ring design!

Seriously, this is still a great design at a great price, hats off to Matt for all the hard work!

yeah, i've only sold one, and i simply can't go any cheaper on the price since i paid $30 each for production, so once you add the batteries, switch pp fees and postage there nothing left over....

i'd really like to make those o-ring hosts but now it's looking pretty risky the way these are (or aren't) selling

Hey Matt just to let you know I will be buying one on Tuesday when I have a gap in my exams. These hosts are awesome despite some tiny flaws I have already mentioned, and I really want to support you so you can make the next batch of improved versions :D
