MISTERWILLING;

Sanyo makes very good batteries known for high capacity...

Li-ion batteries also hold their existing charge for almost a year.

Just a note, I recieved the lens and while my 8X isn't done yet, it took my 6X from 209mW to 262mW
I have to say, this brass lens assembly looks gorgeous. I can't say I wasn't tempted (well only for a second I mean, lol)

Thanks Larry , i should be placing my order today for the the 3 bare lenses.

The Sanyo's are working out perfect. As a matter of fact im glad i bought them from you when i did. since i added the Spyder 3 , that uses the same Batt type.

im thinking of getting one of those jewelry cleaning electric vibrating trays to clean the lenses. is that what you have?

Thanks again

Flaminpyro;

Sanyo & Panasonic have proven to be top quality rechargable manufacturers.

I have abused many of them in some of my RC trucks.

MISTERWILLING;

I have plenty of dual-battery chargers available.

This model does a good job ...
and charges to the correct voltage.

Photos of charger are on this page:

Re: FS: Hi Power AR Lens - 25-30% Increase vs. Aixiz

Larry, New poster here. Just getting into burning lasers and picked up a pre-mounted PHR-803 from Modwerx.com and a driver for it, I'm curious if your lens will work with those units? MY goal is to be able to burn/melt twine from about 1-2 feet away. Any ideas or input would be great.

Thanks,Ryan

Hi Ryan;

Welcome to the board.

The Hi-Power brass lens assembly was designed to fit the threads better,
in the Aixiz module provided by Modwerx.

It should give you ~30% more power,
and better focusing ability than the stock plastic lens.

Re: FS: Hi Power AR Lens - 25-30% Increase vs. Aixiz

Larry, Thanks for the clarification, I was unsure if the one I just bought from modwerx was a "Aixiz" module or not. The focus would control if I was able to burn and at what distance, correct? Would I be able to focus behind a sheet of clear protective glass in that case? I've never seen anyone do that before.
Thanks,
Ryan

Ryan;

Aixiz modules are used by nearly all the builders on this board.

The focus will be adjustable from a couple of inches to many feet.

The lens can easily focus thru the glass,
but unless it is AR coated,
you will lose about 8 to 10% power from reflections at the two glass surfaces.

I'm glad you see the improvements in actual battery capacity.

Sanyo is the most advanced li-ion manufacturer, and they have just combined operations with Panasonic, another quality li-ion battery producer.

Sony also produces very good batteries.

Re: FS: Hi Power AR Lens - 25-30% Increase vs. Aixiz

Hi Rob;

I have some 17650 and rectangular lithium batteries,
but they only fit some flashlight hosts.

I don't have any AA or AAA li-ion types.

Thanks;

Larry
