Fs: CUSTOM LASER HOSTS, NEW HOSTS ADDED TODAY 1/10/16

Re: Fs: CUSTOM LASER HOSTS, NEW HOSTS ADDED TODAY 9/2/15

No but I did get your aluminum today in the mail, so I will be starting your host later this week.
Ehgemus, anything new this week we can admire?

Re: Fs: CUSTOM LASER HOSTS, NEW HOSTS ADDED TODAY 9/2/15

Whooo hooo! That's a build I'm looking forward to! A knife edge pointer!

Re: Fs: CUSTOM LASER HOSTS, NEW HOSTS ADDED TODAY 10/12/15

Bro....those are all beautiful. I would love to own any one of these but it appears they are all spoken for at the moment. This is the type of build I need to start with....you have done all the hard part.

I can build you something, pm me

God Harold, that is one sweet unit. Normally I don't like single battery hosts but this is so nice I'd like to buy it, PM incoming.

Re: Fs: CUSTOM LASER HOSTS, NEW HOSTS ADDED TODAY 10/12/15

I have to agree with you Alaskan.
That is a good looking host.
Being a 1 cell it would be perfect for a BDR-209.
Hmm:thinking:

Re: Fs: CUSTOM LASER HOSTS, NEW HOSTS ADDED TODAY 10/12/15

I'd like another one with the same relative dimensions which holds two 26650 batteries, that would be very nice.

Re: Fs: CUSTOM LASER HOSTS, NEW HOSTS ADDED TODAY 10/12/15

You can also run dual 18350s, so you can really run whatever you want. I wouldn't stick an NUBM44 in it, but it would probably do well with most other diodes. I use the eFest 10A 18350s most of the time, and they've performed just as well as my AW 18350s. I still have yet to drain a battery dead. And I would classify my "play time" as above average. Lol.

I have a BDR-209 already in a module and ready to go, but I can't bring myself to put it into any nice hosts. The beam is just so...anti-climatic for me, I would just hate to pull out some super nice looking Ehgemus host, and see a dull violet beam when I powered it on. Lol.

Yea, I keep forgetting 2X 18350's will provide as much voltage as I really need without a boost driver. Even though the run time I use on my pointers doesn't go through my batteries very fast, I still like the extra capacity of the larger 26650's. There is one exception though, which this host is not well suited for due to the smaller heat sink size, my NUBM44 does go through 2 X 18650's too fast.

Forgive the double post, but I want to show off his work in its own post. If you're thinking about buying a host from Ehgemus, you've already thought too long. Buy it. This is my 1.5W NDG7475 build in his host with a custom acrylic focus adapter. It. Looks. Awesome. Even better in person. Ehgemus hosts are top notch, and the finish is damn near perfect. I can't say enough about them. Get one. You'll be glad you did. :D

Stop teasing me with that pointer! I almost bought it :p

I sent the 87 dollars to Ehgemus, can't get him to answer my PM yet so thought I'd get the payment in now, in case someone else comes along and reaches him first. Worst case is I will just apply the money towards a custom pointer I want him to build

Re: Fs: CUSTOM LASER HOSTS, NEW HOSTS ADDED TODAY 10/12/15

Yea I do that 2 small cell trick sometimes too, but I really like heavy heat sinks and lots of battery.
But for a pocket build 2 16340's or 18350's will do for shorter duty cycles.

I picked up some 501's when I ordered mx-900's from Budget for 4 bucks each, got a couple cone heads and they have more metal so I cut the cone off and made a heat sink from bar stock and stuck a M-140 in one just for fun, small pocket builds have their place, but I really want MORE POWER!!!
