FS: Coleman MAX CR2 Kits

hey matt, was there anybody that didnt want the LED's that came with these hosts. if you have them lying around. I could take them off you hands :D :D :D.

I've been throwing them in with each package in case they want the pill.
those cree leds are a dime a dozen.

damn jib, those pictures are phenomenal!! your camera rocks. Looks professional. makes this already great host look even better.

^^^^ Yea I know I wish i new how he does that. It looks like How Company's post pictures of there Lights.

Thanks! ... Photography was my other hobby before LASERs took all the cash.
I use a Nikon D90, SB-400 Speedlight(bounced of wall or ceiling), and a 5000K color calibrated light table.

hey, curious, whats the model number on the led's in it? or if no-one knows that, what voltage/current do they run at?

looking at the die, it sure looks like an XP-G. I played around with it and got it as bright as my 300 lumen Trustfire light. It was sucking up 1.2A at 3.28V...im sure i was overdriving that sucker...

i think the flashlight is advertised as 117 lumens and the led is labeled cree Xlamp 7090

I ordered this host from Moh a while back and just finished my build yesterday. I ground down the grooves on the inside of the host and a protected 17500 fits perfectly. Microboost set at 550ma + a BDR-S06J diode = awesome high powered yet very compact laser. I also sanded off some of the anodizing to make it a little more personalized.

I'm almost ashamed to admit, but since I don't have all the parts to build my first laser, I put the LED back in mine and am seriously considering keeping it as a flashlight. :D I don't have anything that even comes close to comparing to the light output of these little emitters.

Never fear though, that nice heatsink will eventually be used, I just have to get a brighter light first. If shipping from DX wasn't so slow, I'd already have another high power flashlight. One is on order, but who knows when it will get to the states

btw: If anyone knows how to get the switch out of these, let me know. Mine is a bit touchy and doesn't really want to turn off all the time. (no complaints though, always on is better then always off!)

Im waiting for my AW15266 cells to arrive. Its a miracle Im getting about 100mW out of normal 3V CR2s with my driver.

Well Matt, I recently got my Coleman MAX CR2 Kit that I ordered from you and am amazed at how small it is in person. And that "wet noodle" wire included with the kit is pretty amazing too. Now I'll have to hop over to your other thread to order more of that wire.

The spending just never ends, does it? :yh:
