Awesome, guys!

I just woke up and we already have like 15 orders between here, PMs and emails...

And i haven't even written a thread yet....

Glenn, from your sig.. I can't make you a 0.5W BR, but i can make 0.4W for you....

Jay: You think you could make me an aluminum nozzle for the BreathFeedback device i have to make?

You know, the plastic ones i showed you?

The mask stays together, but the plastic nozzle breaks cos they keep throwing it on the floor.... :(

Then they wait a year to send me four of them to repair and then they COMPLAIN cos they don't last 10 years without breaking, for gawd's sake!

The electronics inside of course last 100 years, but the freaking nozzle keeps breaking off from all the abuse 8h a day, five days a week by several people every single day.. :cryyy:

And more than a big grin was also on my face this morning, when I received it!:D:D:D
The first thing I have done has been to remove the acrylic Aixiz lens, replacing it with my Jay 405-G-1 lens, just to be sure to avoid any acrylic melt smell....

Well, what can I say? "WOW, GORGEOUS" do not give the exact feeling I had handling such a little but powerful IgorT lazor! 290mA and 418mW! Stop speaking now, hereunder are the first pictures and Po plot.... 30 seconds solid as a rock, thanks to IgorT driver...

There is also a beam comparison between the 8x and my first PHR. Waiting for your lens updated with the Ez adapter, Jay...
Movies will follow soon.....:yh:

can i get this romisen on DX?if yes what is the SKU?

Igor,

what is the total cost for the glass lens and ez focusing adapter assembly?

Sure Igor, just e-mail me. I need a drawing. Then I can let you know if I can make it...

For a mini Test-Buy for my "medium" lens... Also called "Lens 1" from the last Custom-Lens attempt...
The thing i lost $1000 on for R&D, to go through 33 different experimental custom made lenses made of high transmittance glass AR coated for 400-650nm...

It's sometimes referred to as "v1 lens, even tho correct numbering would be v7....
The v1 was a spherical lens cost $700, had to order 30pcs, and it was BAD... :undecided: Only 15% in power increase (Jay and Dave both have a proto) but creates ugly wings... :(

We require aspherics which cost a fortune if machined, and have to be precision-molding.

That requires an expensive diamond-turned (single turn) steel molds for glass and then precision-machining on one side if single sided molds (aka PCX or Plano-Convex like the lens Jay uses in his lenses or BCX if Bi-Convex, like "Lens 1" aka v7).

It is a medium FL/NA AR coated glass lens, avg. Po increase ~18-20% depending on diode's wavelength, because unlike acrylics it lets through all wavelengths the same...

It has no visible splatter around the beam, but has to waste 7-8% on that, which creates a rounded-off beam. with a beam thinner than AixiZ but just as round.

Due to slightly longer FL it also burns better than short FL lenses, even tho the power is a few mW less, due to a better defines focus depth - almost like AixiZ but with much more power.

It's the lens i use in my highest power 6x, for an increase resulting in 265mW.. :yh:...

I'll do some last tests, and then, depending on the number of Test-Buy orders, decide if i use a plastic or metal lens nuts...
Metal would require 50pcs minimum for CNC manufacturing, not sure if better for power yet...

Jayrob was kind enough to offer metal lens nut manufacturing for a prototype on his lathe... :yh:

I'll give him a lens for free in return for a CR2 Keychain kit for an 8x diode... :yh:

Igor,

what is the total cost for the glass lens and ez focusing adapter assembly?

Franco uses Jay's glass lens in his lens nuts and Jay's focusing adaptor, designed by Franco himself for my 8x lazor and executed beautifully by Jayrob..

So Jay made both for around $70 i guess...

I used Jay's lens for setting Franco's laser to 418mW!

With my lens the power is around 388mW IIRC...

Franco also tested my lens on my personal 6x once and made a short review for beam specs and burning a couple of pages back.

I should be able to make 410mW 8x's with my lens at ~300-305mA depending on diode efficiency...

I'll make plots with both lenses in the future and let buyers decide.. :yh:

what's the price?i may be in.

Jay: Check out photos of my real work again HERE...

I need a sensor for those devices, but i'll design a round one for you to make on a lathe, OK? :yh:

The price will be the lens cost provided by the manufacturer. Around $50...

Similar to Jay's lens. We'd have to buy 250+ to get them cheaper... :yabbmad:

I'll mount them for free..

Metal lens nuts would have to cost $5 or so, which would bring the price to around $55, similar to Jay's lens.
