Well it has arrived at its first stop and wow this thing is heavy!!!!

@Adam, took a nice sticker that I believe was meant for me (might just be a coincidence but I love it)

@Everyone else, DANG there are some nice goodies in there! If I wasn't taking a step away then I am afraid I'd take 1/2 the box for myself!

I am adding two IR filters to the box. I am hoping that no one takes these so everyone has the opportunity to use them. I really am adding them so Isaac can meter his 532nm laser and see how much 30mW of pure 532nm looks like. They are not super expensive but there are two of them so you can cross check the results. One blocks 100% of light except for IR and the other one blocks 100% of IR. I ask that people test their lasers and pass them along to the next guy (I mean if anyone really have a use for them then you can take them but figured once you meter your laser there really is no point on keeping them)

That is all I am saying I will put in but figured I'd say that here so people know to get their LPMs ready ;)

@Jeff, I took the stuff out of the box to get a look at what was in it. I tried putting everything back in so I could watch the Bruins game........holy cow this box is a hard puzzle! I cant fit everything back in. How did you fit it all in the box lol guess I'll need to get my thinking cap out so I can piece it back together

BubonicCronic, got it. I too have been disappointed with Chinese mail. The picture reminds me of times long since gone.

Jeff sent me a package with some stuff he fixed for me and it was packed so tightly and carefully it was ridiculous! I tried putting it all back in there but it was just like you said - like a puzzle. I have no idea how he packages stuff like he does, haha!

Sorry I am putting something the size of a quarter in the box for isaac who is next in line to get the box. If you look at his WTB thread youd see I told him id send him the filter. No point in making two trips to the PO when the filter takes up no space. If I didnt say anything then no one would even know I did it. Also I said it was for everyone, not just Isaac......

I should mention about the audio gear I included. If anyone decides to pull any of that stuff feel free to PM me with questions on what it is and how to make it work. There is use unbuilt kit and three other things in the box. Four total unrelated pieces of really cool DIY audio projects that added an interesting dimension to the box IMO.

Glad it made it safe, looks like our quantum sorter was still down.

Yea, if I were to get a box half full of stuff I couldn't have,I would be pretty ticked, and expect whoever packed it with said stuff to post the shopping, as I would send it off without taking or adding anything.

Don't worry, I know that won't happen :)

@Adam, took the recovering laser addict one. Figured it fit me best since I am taking a step away. I have used these types of stickers MANY times, they make it very easy to keep everything in place. Depending on cost and how this looks once placed, I might hit you up to make some larger racing decals for me. Like full sheet sized for my rear truck window. Have one on my truck now but I need to put them on EVERY vehicle in the fleet

I didn't even think about that connection to you! It does fit perfectly, haha. Jeff actually suggested that one, but good thing I made 2.

I can definitely make some bigger decals for you. The max size I generally offer is the size of regular printer paper (actually about 8x11), if that's the 'full sheet' you're referring to. PM incoming so I don't clutter the thread :p

I didn't even know you raced, haha. I knew you did something with dirt bikes (your profile picture is a dead giveaway but didn't know you did car racing. That's awesome!

So Jeff has put us all in a tough spot with his master packing methods. I have a pile of stuff that needs to fit in the box but since he packed everything so well, I have NO idea how I am going to fit it in

I honestly might have to send two boxes unless I can fit this jigsaw puzzle back together or take something else out.

Box is going to Dave today. Sorry it took a little longer than expected, haven't been feeling great and also in my genius I labeled the box to send back to Jeff BUT I did catch it prior to sending and got Dave's info  That would have been interesting

I am interested in what you ended up pulling from the box. What got your fancy the most?

Honestly, there was a lot that peaked my interest IF I was staying in the hobby. I had to fight myself not to just say "Oh, I'll take this, this, uh that and oooooh this too!" but since I am taking a step away for a little longer, I tried to leave everything in the box. I got my good buddy into this hobby and he is interested in optics, photography, etc so I grabbed a few optical lens that I was planning on gifting to him for graduation and one for myself.

In the end I ended up taking 4 things total (not including the thing you labeled for everyone to have one) and putting a lot more back in. I actually am shocked I was able to piece everything back in WITHOUT needing to take random stuff to make room.

Jeff, I think my "profit" from this box will be the information and help you can provide me down the road on what we have already discussed. That information, help and access to resources is more then enough for me

EDIT: The lens I grabbed was actually really cool. I looked at it and was like I wonder what this would look like if you shine a laser through it so I did and wow. Turned the nice thin beam into a cone of light, almost like a beam from a UFO
