FREE Copy Machines lasers/optics. (pics in thread)

Re: Canon/Savin Copy Machines lasers/optics (free!

Could you do me a favor and find a big cube?

I'll look and see what I can find for you :) No promises but I'll keep my eyes open for you. BTW, what size of a cube are you looking for? Most cubes I can find are no bigger than an inch by an inch max. Most are smaller.

How much do you think for Canada?

Depends. I would suggest looking at UPS, FedEX, USPS or any other shipper that you would like to use, see if they have a shipping calculator and use the zip code of 58103 (Fargo, North Dakota USA), and an approximate weight between 2-5lbs. That should give you a ball park idea.

Oh, I was thinking of maybe 5x5 or 6x6 inches...
Well, an inch by an inch will work :)

Xer0:  Tell you what I'll do for you.  You tell me what you want as far as the parts go and if you keep the weight under 5lbs, I'll cover half of the shipping costs if it runs over $20 for ONE package :)

Feeling generous today and decided you'd be the one I help out today.

DUDE! You live like a hop skip and a jump from me.  Well 600 miles is a little bit more than a hop and a skip, but still VERY close in montana standards.  I'm sure you understand that well living in North Dakota.

I want a laser assembly, and a ccd sensor assembly and a mirror.  I'm also desiring a cube larger would be cool, but am happy with a smaller one.  Gimme shipping quote and I'll send ya some $$  Billings, MT 59105 zip.

ill take the mirror/motor and any cubes/beam splitters u got pm sent

Re: FREE Copy Machines lasers/optics. (pics in thr

Man I've looking for some of those mirrors. I'll take a box full and "donate" money to your paypal account. PM me a ideal for shipping to Longview Texas 75604 and I'll transfer some funds to cover shipping plus the donation dollars. I'm looking for any mirrors on a array type mount or mirrors from a scanner.

Thanks
Chuck

The weight would be ~2lbs. The reason I say that is the CCD assy and laser assy not broken down comes out to 2lbs 5oz. I can ship via almost anyone so let me know and I'll get it out to you :)

I boxed up just the polygon mirror w/ motor, laser heatsink, laser assy optics, and ccd optics and that all came out to 1lb, 12oz.

Sure jake... Just tell me the shipper you want to use and I'll box up a couple mirror/motor assys and a couple of the optic assys from the laser assemblies. Probably will be looking at around 1-2lbs.

Chuck,

Tell you what, I've go six machines currently being scrapped in the next couple weeks. Now are you looking for the long mirrors from the scanning assy or are you looking for the polygon mirrors? I have some of both. No one else is interested in the scanning assy mirrors but I've only got 4 polygon mirrors/motors that are not spoken for. You pick the shipper and when I get all these pulled apart and packaged, I'll tell you the weight and we can go from there. You should have these all by Mid-May if that is ok :)

Picture Time for ElektroFreak!

Here are a few more pictures for what I am shipping you (minus the laser enclosure). This should give others a better idea of what is available.

0430090839.jpg

This is the laser enclosure with everything removed.

0430090839b.jpg

Another shot showing the exit path for the laser light from this enclosure.

0430090841.jpg

This is the secondary optics unit.  It sits right at the front of the laser assy. It is made of hard plastic.

0430090841a.jpg

This is the primary optics unit for the laser assy.  It is made of glass but does not look to have any coating on it.  I know it has no IR film as this was used with an IR laser :P

0430090841b.jpg

Here is a better top-down view.  You can see both sides are curved.

0430090842.jpg

One of the small cubes.  The smaller cube is made of glass while the bigger cube attached to the back is made of hard plastic.  It wouldn't take much to separate these if you only wanted one or the other.

0430090843.jpg

Ah, the Polygon Mirror and Motor Assy.  I have removed it from the laser assy and you can now see a better side view of it here.  The mirrored edges of this look to have a goldish coating on them.  What that would mean for laser light I have no idea :P

0430090843a.jpg

A 3/4 top-down view.

0430090854a.jpg

Ah, a top-down view of the laser heatsink

0430090854.jpg

Looking directly into the 'barrel' of the heatsink.  The optics in this are adjustable.  They are currently held in place by a drop of red 'screwloc'

0430090903.jpg

I re-attached the plate which holds the laser diode.  I don't have the tools to remove the IR module, however I'm sure some of you may.  Two screws hold the heatsink and this plate together.  I'm sure you have or can find a few screws or nuts to hold this onto whatever enclosure/assembly you wanted to mount your laser to.

0430090854c.jpg

The CCD optics.  They are a hard plastic.  I'm sure you could find some use for them

^ looks great! I'm excited to get them. PM sent.

Re: FREE Copy Machines lasers/optics. (pics in thr

Replied to your pm. All boxed and ready to go :)

Re: FREE Copy Machines lasers/optics. (pics in thr

ElektroFreak will be my 'test monkey' so to speak. :) I'm sending out the boxed items you see above right now.

I'll get Kenom's and jake21's order out next week after I pull their laser assy's out of two marked machines.
