It Hit 1W+. :wave:




Only had to bum the current up 34mA. Not Bad at all.

Before the Bump i have at least ~1 hour.

1W has already been done before but i think only by 1 or 2 other people.

Life of diode will be shorter then normal of course but i can live with that.

THe beam is down right amazing now. Trust Me when i say that. Especially with Fog.

Ha ha. Yea its a beast Now. I can tell you that i wish we had 405nm in Power of this Range.

Although this Laser is a 1W. I dont expect it to live a Long life.

But wail its at 1W iam going to enjoy it.

THe Beam Is freaking solid. Not that it wasn't at 750mW but i can say the extra 250mW makes a Difference in real life. Its amazing.

I would Love to have a 405nm diode that was rated like the 445nm. I would careless if it had the same divergence as 445nm the color "WL" at 1W is Amazing.

Ive got another 10 S06J's coming in withing the next few weeks Hopefully i find another one. If i do ill push one of them even further Just for fun.

I just got to find another freak LPC-826. Ive got a bunch of those coming to me with the 12x above.

I might put a 635nm in there not sure as i might be able to get the 500mW diode pretty cheap. Not sure yet.

It would be a kicka$$ statment to say you have the only 1watt 405
and have the proof to show it but that might just blow the diode

Can't take all the credit though, I supplied all of the green and 405, as well as 4 445nm lasers. DarkSide supplied the backyard with high evergreen bushes, the beer, and six 445's iirc. We also had 4 650nm lasers going.

All in all, probably about 15W of combined power in that pic:eg:

Edit: the two lasers all the way on the right should look pretty familiar to you

Holy crap that's amazing! I see you were a smart man and put it into a Saik. That massive heatsink should pull away a lot of the heat from the diode. On a related note I hope someone continues to make heatsinks for those hosts.

It was very cool, and I can't wait to do it again. Humidity was at 100% that night.

Seeing all the lasers going from the side - 20 or so beams - is incredible. Unfortunately I didn't bring a camera that night. All the pictures were taken with DarkSide's camera, I have a few but waiting for the rest. I'm sure one of us will post them as some point.

Doubly unfortunate, my trusty cannon s410 finally died - or at least isn't working as of yesterday. So I need a new camera that picks up lasers well

I may be making heatsinks for a VERY similar host. It could very well be the same host with a different name. I would be selling the whole kit with the flashlight body for $30-35 shipped. If anyone is interested please pm me. I want to gauge weather its worth investing in the hosts.

I really need to get a new 405, this is almost as over spec as my PHR 803T that was doing >360mW at fairly low currents. yep, thats near 400mW from a PHR and it lived for good while at that too!
