First Projector-Thoughts?

Find old 25 pin serial cables and wire it for ILDA, that way you are plug and play with other users.
Make sure they are all pins populated.

This way your upgrade is painless.

Do not be confused by the huge number of signals, you'll only need 7 or 9 of those.

DAC has a female DB25. Projector will have a male DB25.

I would run the flexmod off of 5V... it will work fine with the 445 diode at 5V and since you have less voltage drop the driver will dissipate much less heat

Thanks for the advice, but I don't think heat will be much of a problem, I've got a rather large heat sink that should work for the flexmod.

Also, your 5W projector is amazing, how did you manage to get such clear/clean/crisp photos?

the selem photos were taken with a Canon 1D Mark II on a tripod... all manual settings... basically just kept taking pictures and sorted them out later... took a couple thousand shots that weekend :)

If anyone wants a demo of LSX, send me a PM on PL. There's a reason for the 19.95 slashed price on Spaghetti, and you'll see what it is. :)

now now, thats not nice :\

LSX is definitely worth the price you are asking, but $20 for Spaghetti I think is more than fair

Hi Flecom, no worries, I wasn't saying it wasn't fair. Indeed, it's better than the $50 price that I thought was fair for the V2 series.

Regarding the frame editor discussion in the previous page, LSX comes with a full 3D frame editor AND ILD SOS is included which will import vector graphics from inskcape, illustrator, and others as well as 3D graphics from Sketchup.

the features/price LSX is definitely up there in features/dollar

regardless you guys are really lucky to even have all these options!

when I got into it you had a QM2000 or went home :p

What a douche bag thing to say. But, of course, I think you are a bit of a douche bag.

Gloves are off.

Gary, it's just a text statement of the things I noticed you doing:

5-27-2011 19:38 LSX announcement
5-27-2011 20:30 Spashetti goes on sale ($79)

6-04-2011 Interested user posts and mentions considering LSX (this thread)
6-05-2011 You post "I sell Spaghetti and I will beat any LSX price by 25%. Just sayin"

6-08-2011 Other people post in support of LSX, OP re-iterates his intention for LSX
6-08-2011 You post your $19.99 sale.

You are perfectly fine in doing these things, but don't call me names when I call you out on it.

P.S. Just calling it like I see it. If in fact this was just an incredible coincidence, including your naming LSX by name, then please accept my apologies.

Nothing wrong with competition. But you went beyond that by insinuating Spaghetti is not worth but $19 and that is a jerk thing to do. I'll continue to sell Spaghetti and to create new features in a manner to be competitive without insulting other people's products like you do.

Again. I never said it wasn't worth 19.99. I said that the reason it was 19.99 was the introduction and enthusiasm around LSX, and I said that based on the data above.

What you did was insult me by calling me names.

:pop::pop:

you guys are just going make your selves look bad if you keep this up. or end up banned. there was an LPM war not too long ago, nobody won. from my experience there really isn't competition between you two. people will keep buyin laser products till they are satisfied.

michael.

Well I was looking at more options for DACs. Is the RIYA Lite any good? How does it compare to a DIY DAC?

EDIT: Also, how do 40k scanners off of E-bay compare to brand name scanners such as the DT-40?
