I'd stay away from those batteries, they are not good quality. i had some that couldn't handle the current draw of my 532 laser and it killed them, they almost exploded, got really hot. the claim of 2000mAh is also false. the highest true capacity in that size will not be over 900mAh, and probably closer to 750mAh.

here are two choices I'd go with over the ones you've found:

AW RCR123a Protected 750 mAh Battery

AW IMR 18350 700mAh LiMN Rechargeable Lithium Battery

the second ones I linked to can be discharged at a high rate, great for high power DPSS lasers. I should mention the second ones I linked to are also slightly wider (2mm) and just a tad longer (1mm), so if the laser you'll need them for has a little breathing room in the battery compartment they will fit, but if the 16340 batteries barely fit, then these will not

All of my previous links are no longer valid, as they were parts of the old receipts. These are the new ones I've chosen --- 4 UltraFire 16340 CR123A Rechargeable Li ion Battery 3 7V 1000mAh | eBay

I just got my imr batteries yesterday. All my others just turned into spares :D

I get all my batteries from r-lsales seller on ebay as I've probably mentioned before. Look through his merchandise. He's got all the sizes, shapes, brands that we use. Good prices, free fast shipping.

Cheech, your graph looks like mine :D except I don't remember mine being so moutainous hahaha maybe I'm crazy so now I'm digging it up

well, that's from a cold start. after those 1st 60 seconds it smooths greatly. i'd guess this module in a tec'd labbie would do +500mW all day long. as it is, i'd say good value for $147

they are 2mm wider. You wont find a IMR in 16340. I use 18350 in my HL532.

First two numbers are width, second two are length; 16mm x 34mm or 18mm by 35mm

So one of these 18350's will work in the laserbtb 300mW HL? The specs on it say it needs one 16340.

Edit: As I'm sure you've noticed, I ask lots of questions, and exercise extreme caution when it comes to spending money. So, I apologize for the mass amount of questions, but appreciate the answers! <3

I have a couple ultra fire 18350 I think unprotected, and they don't fit in my hl300. They are the yellow ones. I know they are crap but I have nothing that needs them atm.

I won't be able to check the actual size of the imr 18350s until after work. I know they fit in my hl532 but I'm not sure if its brand specific or what

If they're the same ones you linked, and your laser is the same 300mW 532nm as I'll receive from laserbtb, I can't imagine it not fitting in mine if it fits in yours.

They are not the same ones, I'm 90% sure they are different ones. Tmack is also talking about ultrafire 18350s which if their quality has anything to do with their measurement skills, will be off as well. Ill measure mine when I get home tonught and post the results or you can buy some nitecore 16340 (rcr123) cells and those wil fit

Oh okay. I'm not gonna go through all the extra crap, I'd rather just grab the Nitecore 16340's and call it good. Thanks a bunch!

EDIT: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-NITECOR...52494?pt=Battery_Chargers&hash=item19d5e8492e

How does this look for my 16340 batteries + my charger? :)

Sorry for jumping in on this but I bought 16340 batteries recently and they clearly state they are IMR on the website.

I acutally found them on lighthound, here: AW IMR16340 550 mAh IMR CR123 size LiMN Rechargeable Lithium Battery

but then I searched for and bought them off Flashaholics as they are UK based, here: AW IMR 16340 Safe Chemistry LiMN Rechargeable Batteries - IMR16340

both state that they are IMR 16340 batteries, and for what it's worth, they fit the laserbtb HL host perfectly and power it well. Have I missed something - or have I misunderstood you?

Yeah I've seen imr 16340 too. Just not nearly as often as the others. Innovative lasers is the last place I remember seeing them personally.
And jump in all you like man. That's how we learn from each other.

No need to apologize, the whole point of this thread is to get as many opinions as possible before making a decision, and your input is both appreciated and extremely helpful.

I like the look of those, and you stating they fit and power well are selling me on them. I'll rework my final receipt to include those, unless Livinloud comes back with some form of problem he knows of with those. :thanks:
