This kind of reminds me of my uncle... he kept getting all kind of viruses and malware on his computer, and I kept having to reinstall windows every 3 months or so.

So the third time it happened, I also installed all kind of safeguards... and basically forced him to use firefox with all scripts disabled.

So about two months pass, I get the call, "My computer is freezing up again".

I go over there... turns out he disabled almost everything i put on there... and of course looks at me and asks how it happened again:facepalm:

My poor computer is heavily mistreated. One of the tabs for the heatsink retaining bracket broke off so the heatsink just falls off. Now it lives it's life on its side, gravity retains my heatsink now. One of my 8800GTX's bit the dust too, so no more SLI

I wish AMD would release their new processors already, I've been waiting months (years?) to build a new PC with one of those stupid bulldozer processors.

It's an old computer (speaking in terms of computer material, off course)
that I mounted ~9 months ago, with nothing special inside, I assure you.

If memory serves me...

Motherboard, Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD4

i5-2500K intel CPU at 3.3GHz

4 GB RAM, DDR3 1600, CL7

2 Hard disk WD Caviar Black (750GB)

Graphics, Asus Radeon HD 5670 1GB GDDR5

Control temp. and fan, AeroCool Touch 2000

And other minor things.

As you see, nothing extraordinary, but for my needs, works well
