Anyone know of a cap available to keep dust odd the lens of a pointer?
I hate to even clip it in a pocket for fear of pocket fuzz.

You can always use a piece of scotch tape, & I've heard of some guys looking around for a cap from a tube of toothpaste that will fit, & then taping or using fun-tack to hold it in place. Hope one of these ideas work for you. ;) 8-) phoenix77

Just measure your laser's diameter and get a rubber tip (like those used on a cane or the legs of a tripod) to fit.

Hi! My name's bild . . . and I have fear of pocket fuzz ;D ;D ;D ;D

I swear . . .I couldn't help myself . . .I'm a bad person :-[

Peace,
dave

yea i always have a co-worker bringing me a laser i had sold them usually a dx type saying it quit working i end up pulling out 1/4 pound of fuzz/lint from the lense hole or apperture i believe its called ok maybe not quite a 1/4 lb lol

What make & model do you have, I may be able to help.

If there's a little space between the aperture hole and the actual lens a little bit of sticky tape will work fine.

Sorry but I don't have WL's, so I don't know exactly what size would fit your laser, if you could measure the barrel with a mic, (you need to be very accurate) I'd be glad to supply you with a very nice slip on/off cap; Gratis 8-)

hey what if we just found a really nice glass or plastic lense and put it on the front of our lasers? becaus then all you need is a nice dust cloth to wipe it clean and when it gets scratches just replace it instead of having to pay sombody to replace that really improtant one?

probly a bad idea i normaly have thos when i just wake up at 2 in the afternooon

Hey as I said I don't have one of those, but you know what they have the specs listed on their site, but I'm not exactly sure which exact model you have, so go back to their site and give me the dimensions as listed for the exact model you have from their, I then maybe able to help; WL's has a couple of different barrel sizes, but the specs page will tell you all I need to know..........let me know.

I found that these 1/2" 'leg tips' from Home Depot are a perfect fit for the DX green laser pointers. Not sure if it will work for your laser though.

P.S. Not a good idea to turn it on while the dust cap is installed. I just did it for a picture effect...

Whoa! Nice collection there. I know for BFG's that standard watter bottle caps work. But since you have something smaller I would suggest getting a regular flat lens or something. But plastic caps work well too, I would suggest clear or white though since if you find black and it turns on in your pocket then you'll be sure to have some smoke in the lens and destroy it.

What I did with my WL collection of Executives & Pulsar lasers, was to buy the cap-set for each one. On the part that holds the burning lens, there is a retaining ring holding in the burning lens. I took out the ring & the lens, & then put in the plain glass dust lens. Then I dropped in the burning lens & put the burning lens on top of the dust lens, & replaced the retaining ring. I then put the holder for the caps, on the laser. I leave it on all the time 'cause it fits in the Dragon Case with it on, protecting it from dust while in there. Then when I want to burn, I just screw on the 2 lens cap. The plain lens will protect the burning lens from pitting & stains & dust. (when replacing the retaining ring, be careful not to screw it in too tight, as you'll crack both lenses) Hope this helps you out1phoenix77/rob ;) 8-)
