I don't think I have every got a phone number. He has always come through for me except that replacement driver I have been waiting almost a year for.

I know I have received a number for him automatically somewhere in the Google Checkout information several times. I have not yet been so forward as to call it.
 
I've talked with him in person (on the phone) and still get the same results.
 
The FlexDrives have been unavailable to purchase from Lava's webstore since at least 3/10, and the MicroBoosts for longer.

I made an inquiry on 3/10 to ask when they would become available again, but have not received a response.

I thought I would ask here to see if you guys have any intel on future availability. My supply of both is running quite low by now...
 
I got a PM from him about 3 days ago because I have 4 Flexmods and need 8 more for a large projector build and when he saw my order he said it will be 1-2 mo. before he will be able ship. I'm frustrated because these are the only hold up and I don't know of any alternative driver that is available at this time.
 
I'll go ahead and say that I think that the folks here are barking up the wrong venue to get ahold of drlava. Go over to PL, register (if you haven't already) and post about your issues or send the good dr a PM.. He's had no trouble staying in touch with the folks there: Search Results - Photonlexicon

If you want a quick response, I'd post or start a thread as opposed to waiting for a PM that might never come..

His last post on PL was yesterday as opposed to mid-January here.. Although he is logged in here right now.

Not as good as the flexmod, but it'll get the job done.
 
Wrong. I have made a concerted effort on both forums both with posts and with PMs and only recently did I receive a response. I do believe based on posts on PL by others that Drlava just recently had a thesis defense (only a few days ago) and that might explain his distraction. Nevertheless, I do feel that an organized approach through PL which is polite and to the point ie. "I need 3 etc." will do the most to encourage him to start another run. I may be wrong, but I think he simply orders a batch to be built (maybe to his design, I don't know) then personally bags and ships. A large demand has to be more worthwhile to fill.
 
In the good Doctor's defense I think the seller on E-bay was the one who placed a huge order and cleaned Him out a while back on the Micro-Flex's. He should have more inventory soon based on Dave's conversation with Him a short while back.

I just talked with Andrew and he told me the new V5 drives will be on the street about the last week of April.

Doh. Sorry about that. :oops:

Tell you what...I'll offer to sell you guys any that I have in stock for the same cost as you would get ordering from Lava's webstore, on an ongoing basis.

I don't have much to offer at the moment though. I have 5 FlexDrives left, and 8 of the P3s.

Planters, this might be your lucky day. They're yours if you want them.
