Do you carry your laser as self defense at night?

If i carry a laserfor self defense it will be attached to a pistol. If that's not deterrent enough a laser by itself will get you killed.

Well, we're getting into a different issue here. I still think a gun, a knife and a laser all at once is excessive for self defence - there is nothing you could hurt with a knife or laser that you couldn't with a gun. Carrying a gun for self defence, a knife for useful stuff and a laser just for fun is different.

a rope that had your wrists tied ;)
Good point. But if 'they' have you tied up, they probably have your knife, gun and laser... hopefully the one with laser blinds the one with gun and gun guy shoots laser guy and in the confusion knife guy stabs self. That would be your only chance. Hmm, I'm good at this. Haha!

Guns are great. Knives are always useful.
Unfortunately not everyone can afford a gun, and the rest who can aren't all legally eligible.
As for the rest who can afford and legally own a gun, we might not be able to carry one on our person in the streets. (non-permissive states like mine)

Simple truth- guns are not a feasible means of protection for most folks out and about at night.

Knives are a great defense. Unfortunately their range is extremely limited. As a last defense it works perfect for the experienced user.

For the rest of us who aren't packing and not relying on our knife skills, a laser just might save our a$$. Little to no skill involved, good range, and effective enough to buy some valuable time.

No death, no blood, no explaining a body to the cops.
In the end, go with what makes you feel safe.
But don't count the LP out ;)

Good that i'm a big guy and live in germany :D
So no need for protection gadgets

Martial arts also works quite well... Hundreds of methods to do anything from stop to kill the person...

^ hmmm ..... in the films, it always work ..... but in the reality, is not so simple.

I mean, in the reality, you have maybe 1% of possibilities to find yourself in a dojo situation, facing an opponent that act "clear and polite" as in the display demonstrations they do for shows and TV ..... one can have a knife, two knives, other items, and act as dirty as he can, so also a "black belt" specialized in this type of fight, still have a good 50% of possibilities ending seriously wounded or killed .....

Sure, i agree fully about the fact that good knowledge of martial arts, and overall constant training, can help a lot ..... but they are not the "magic wand" that they shows you in demos.
