this tailcap is saying go case positive, or add a spring. Think im gonna go for a case + m140 build in my 2x10440

The m140 pen I built is case positive. Made it very convenient.

The focus adapter presses onto an aixiz nut, right? I just ask because I am having some trouble getting the sumbiatch on there....Maybe I'm not applying enough pressure, I just don't want to nick anything.

I had to press pretty hard with a vise but it fits flush with no problem.

I had to sand the aixiz nuts down a tad to get them to even go in :)

Then they go in fine :)

Another thing...these tiny suckers are HEAVY! its awesome!!!! I couldn't believe when i picked it up...It weighs more than my kryton groove, and its only like 5 inches long! I was seriously doubting the 120s duty cycle with a 3W diode in it....but I doubt no more! Can't wait till I have the extra money to put a diode in this thing.

When I got the box I couldn't believe the weight! Felt like S box of lead bars lol

Got mine today - very nice work!

Does anyone know if there's a way to paint the brass adapter white? I didn't realize it wasn't powder coated also, and the OCD is really throwing up a stink in my neurons.

some flat matte white spray paint might do the trick and provide the slight texture to match the powder coat, just make sure you protect the innards so as not to throw off the super tight fits of this build.

Question 2:
What are the specs of the switch / where can I order them?

About half a second into the task of soldering a raised battery contact onto the switch pad, the whole switch melted apart. They are clearly incredibly melty.

Only on the tailcap for me - but I can live with that.

Although I just realized that I received the completely wrong host. I ordered the 2x10440 Host, but I got a 1x10440 host :(

On my spreadsheet you are marked as a 1x host. Might have just been a typo when sent to me. I'll talk to sinner and get that fixed.

Doesn't matter. I just looked back at my PM, and sinner said:
"2x10440 Host - White - $21.50"

Even though I ordered the double, and the PM said that also, I only paid for the single - so I'm fine with the single, it's a neat host.

Though I would really like to know where to order another switch. Do you know where I can put that order in? It's a tough switch to match, none of the parts I have laying around here fit.

And - I also found a switch that fits - so all is well.
