I just saw this products being sold for ~$135.00
I thought it would be the ideal hobbyist's starter
bench top setup for restricted work space...

Great for your home bench, where there's just so much space to go around!
For the school or technical institute that needs to equip multiple benches with
the basics, the 3-in-1 lab can't be beat! Not only for size and efficiency, but for
cost as well!
Take a close look! On you left is a multi-function 3.5 digit digital multimeter. Its
large backlit LCD display can be seen from anywhere on your bench
while you're working. The DMM also features built-in transistor, diode, and continuity
testing, data hold, and audible alarm. A great DMM that any bench could benefit from.
Next up, the regulated lab DC power supply. Switch selectable ranges of 3V, 4.5V,
6V, 7.5V, 9V, and 12V provide a continuous duty current of 1.5 amps with a 2 amp
peak! Features both overload protection and overload indication. Full size color coded
binding posts are provided front and center for connection to your project under test.
To the right we have a high quality temperature regulated soldering station. One
would think there's not much to say about as soldering station but not the case here.
The 24V low voltage iron features an isolated ceramic 48 watt temperature controlled
element. Front panel control gives you variable tip temperature control from 150 deg C
to 450 deg C (300F to 840F) and LED indication of power-on and heating-on. A pull-out
tip cleaning sponge is conveniently located right up front. And unlike stand alone soldering
irons, a protected iron holder/stand is attached to give you a convenient place to store
the iron without the possibility of burning yourself! It gets even better... this soldering
station is RoHS or Lead-Free compatible! What does that mean? Lead-Free solder
requires a higher melting and flow point and requires the soldering station to maintain
that temperature throughout the soldering task. Just set the temperature for the higher
temperature (typically 350 to 400 deg C) and this station is designed to maintain that
temperature. Replacement tips and irons are also available.
It gets even better! While the 3-in-1 lab is a multi-function unit, each component is
electrically isolated from each other and utilize separate power supplies for the ultimate
in safety, circuit protection, and reliability! The DMM features its own battery supply to
keep it totally isolated from the AC supply!
What's included? The 3-in-1 lab, high quality test probes for the DMM, 9V battery for
the DMM, solder sponge, spare solder tip, AC power cable, and a comprehensive user
manual. It simply includes everything you need to get started!
I don't have one so I can't attest to any of the above specs
but I can't see why the specs would be off...
