Those 473nm prices are the same as the standard, one person quote prices. I emailed them asking about pricing for one 473nm 80mW and they told me $560+fees... So much for "group buy" prices...

If there's 9 people in for the 473nm 80mW, then I'm most likely in. Otherwise, I'm probably going to have to drop out... :undecided:

So you are saying even at 10 pcs price.
PGL-III-C 473nm 80mW is at $560+ ?
Not including shipping and insurance ???

I would join but I remember reading about previous CNI GB's and many people saying that it was not worth it because CNI ended up sending mostly underspec units to everyone to compensate for the drop in price :( ..... I cant find the thread I read about this on... Like I said I would love to join this potential CNI GB but not if we are all just going to get units that are regarded as low performance and underspec by CNI...

Can anyone comment on this?

And that is why group buy organisers will filter out the defective unit and send it back to CNI.
You don't mess with LPF

The 8pcs PGL-III-C-589nm-80mW I got in the last GB performed between 90-150mW. They were all pretty awesome.

Even now they´re much cheaer than at Laserglow, Roithner-Lasers and the others who offer 589nm.

Bloom, ask CNI why the prices went up and that your customers will only buy at the old prices.

That could be a potential disaster without the right wording^

Well throw numbers in her face.
Tell her how many people are willing to buy the 589nm at the old price.
Tell her how many people are willing to buy the 589nm at the new price.

Tell her the potential profit difference , and then appeal to our sense of long term partnership .

Explain to her how will such a price change affects the long term relationship with LPF. And then if needed , get DJNY and Bloom and WBS into a triple entente. That's our last chance I guess.

Finally close with an offer of goodwill to pay a lump sum order fee for the lasers before paying the remaining amount of the official order .

If even that doesn't work.
WELP!
I guess we'll have to look elsewhere

Good ideas DJNY and EpicHam! They are a business after all, so if this is going to affect their bottom line I think they will come around.

My concern however: the whole "they might give us underspec units for an underspec price" is somewhat disturbing. Makes me want to just pay full price.

When will you have the full range of units offered in the group buy price list available?

Could be that some other prices have changed also.

I will be passing this fully to wannaburn if he is up to it. I have far too much on my plate right now with research, and two laser products I have to get out.

Just got the list of all prices including the lower output, so here is that.

After this I will be done with this GB unless someone has a question Burn cannot answer.

Sorry about this, but I just have a lot to do right now. Won't be doing custom build either for a while I bet.
