Excellent news. I hope one of those is mine!

Yes LtKernelPanic I sent yours on the way Thanks to you all GB buyers and btw, if any out of spec or other trouble is to show up, please let me know ASAP, (and the type of laser and S/N), and I'll get started in the CNI return messaging so we can get you the quality item you wanted. Thanks Again! -Glenn

Glenn, I don't think I am going to send the 589nm back it is on spec and the beam isn't /that/ bad. After 4 months I don't really want to wait anymore for this thing.

Edit: it looks like i am going to have to send it back, one day in and it no longer powers on...

I actually don't remember for whom atm, but the next package, (coming quite soon), will also have a Spartan tail cap someone needed, maybe it was my pal near Lake Perris? -GH

Oh this is so not fair. My laser arrived but I have every common battery *other* than the needed CR2

Rats! I sure wish I had sent you one... camera stores and Best Buy have the primary cell, use web based biz to order the rechargeable... -GH

Heh. No biggy. I went and picked one up about an hour after posting that. The irony is I work in retail and could have grabbed one before leaving work. For some reason I thought it'd either take AAAs or a CR123. I need to order a bunch of rechargeable LiIons for some projects I've just completed and some that are in planning so I'll snag one then.

One question if I may since you've dealt with a lot of CNI products. Do you happen to know off hand if these can handle a 3.6v lithium or if I should stick with a 3v? My charger can handle both but I prefer 3.6 so I don't have to remember to set the 3/3.6v switch on the charger. I checked the spec sheet on CNI's site but it didn't say.

So far the laser is awesome. I knew the beam wouldn't be super visible but it shows up pretty well in a dark room. The only thing is the button sticks on sometimes. I hope this doesn't become a major problem because I'd hate to have to send it back for repair and wait another two months. Someday I'm going to have to get one of these that's in the 5-10mw range but for now the 1mw is plenty for me although I was hoping it'd be overspec in the 3-5mw range but it LPM'd right at 1mw so no complaints from me.

I was once told that running these with rated 3.2V batts is fine.

Don´t know if there are CR2 sized rechargeable LiFePO4 cells out there, otherwise you have to test it with non-rechargeable batts.

Just don't use a fully charged 3.6V :tsk: I have used a 3.6, when it tests at <3.4V but not fully charged, ( c/b ~4.1V) never! -GH
