- Blord, did his PL700 from the last GB use an IR filter?

A: Without special request,all 532nm are not filtered. On our power meter,there is a IR filter,so all 532nm lasers are tested without IR.

- i requested members to send me the videos with complaints. So i will come back at that. Let me know what is should do with shipping. Members say it is more then 40$ even without the box and extra's. (maybe sending multiple lasers?)

A: Procedure for complaints.

1.send me the videos or photos to show me the fault. They should move the laser near to the power meter,and test the laser spot all inside the power meter detection area,with full charged 16340 ,3.7v batteries,and firstly please remove the sticker from the 650nm again.

2.tell me the buyers name,repair lasers details (type,quantity),I will write the return invoice to them.(only send me the laser tube with fine package of inner box bubble,do not send the box back,I will not pay the shipping cost for the weight of the box.) send me back with my TNT account.

3.if I prove the same under spec,I will refund 20% of the lasers costs as compensation,and send new lasers meet spec,I bear all shipping costs. If I prove lasers meet spec,the buyer should bear all shipping cost.

I've been, and will be a little absent from the forum, at least not as active as normally next few days... definitely I am looking forward to resolving this mess though.

Haven't had time to take proper videos.

Couple of questions;

1. What is a "TNT account"? UPS, DHL, FedEx, something else?

2. "if I prove the same under spec" - What is the definition of underspec as far as Kevin/Skylasers is concerned. My green laser for example, at start, at peak, is "on spec" but that only last ~30 seconds at best.

3. What would Kevin like to see on the wrong gift sent? It's a multimode, not a single mode, so I'm not really sure what, or if he needs a video for that?

I had the same questions, and googled this. They are a shipping company, like UPS, DHL, etc. I am happy to use TNT, if that is what Kevin wants. But I won't be too excited to travel long distances, in order to get the package shipped. I could not identify where their drop-off locations were on their site.

This should COMPLETELY satisfy my first group buy experience! I ordered a couple of IR filters from rgb-lab (ebay) - the same seller I bought my O-Like 5mW 635nm pens from, they should be here in the next week or two allowing me to test the IR content of the 532nm pen I bought. I think it will come in slightly above spec. All in all, I am very satisfied with this group buy, and am extremely grateful to Offroad for his patience and persistence in his handling of all matters involved here. Thanks Offroad! :thanks:
 
I would not accept drivong somewhere to drop them. Lets just send him te video's and see what happens! Kevin his lpm has an IR filter so if you are doubting to send a greenie back then it dhould not be a problem i guess.

At infinitus i am sending an email with the complaint please hold on to that one ;)

Is there any way I could get a locking tailcap for my PL450? Really do like having keyswitches on my lasers... prevents me from burning holes in my pockets :)

I would like non-locking caps for my HL808 and HL650 as well, but if that isn't possible, it's cool. Just thought I'd ask :)

I'll do an LPM video and let him decide what he wants to do from there.

Given my situation I know two of three lasers are 100% underspec, the green and the 650. The 450nm single mode, it's really kind of on the cusp.

yeah there GITD powder Put in clear Tubing got the idea from Fiddy. i've never sold any before but i guess if someone wanted some i'm sure i could make them. I put them on like all of my laser and flashlights and am thinking of picking up a couple more colors so i can have them on my new PL650 as well as my PL405.
 
I have powder I purchased from a member but haven't used it yet. How did you attach the tube ends? Can't help liking it. Seems to really stand out. I've probably got some tubing if I look around but thinking maybe what you are using is something special? Looks quite nice on the PL. Put them on the HLs?
Have alot of different size GITDs including a couple different kinds of paint. Usually paint just inside the aperture hole of the 405s as it gives a nice afterglow.
 
Yes I've got them on my 405 as well as just about all my flashlights and lasers, even the laser in my avatar has them. The tube is transparent tube I can't remember the exact size of the top of my head and sealing the end of the tubes took a long time and a lot of rings to get it right. Would prefer not to tell that little secret but I'm sure you could figure it out pretty easily.
