a extra gift for 500+ USD orders:a 460nm 80mW pointer.
(to USA,all gifts may be 5mW pointer, to comply with FDA)

Confused once again.... I can order everything on my list but can't get the 460nm 80mw unit as an extra gift because I'm in the US?
Wouldn't this mean that you can't order any pointer that doesn't meet the criteria? I'll have to look on their site and see if the rest of the pointers are compliant. Is this 460nm not the OSRAM maybe?
As far as I can tell so far, only the 5mw pointers are FDA so if I'm following this correctly this would change ALOT of orders. Any US person wouldn't be able to get any pens at all on the list.....

Sorry for the confusion guys. All 500mW+ lasers that go into the USA an NOT FDA approved. So for the lasers that are FDA approved and ordered have FDA numbers on them. If that order also contains a 1W it will marked as a 5mW gift. To apply for FDA regulations.

In the EU there are no FDA regulations so no problems with marking the lasers there.

All in all it is gonna get fixed for you guys :wave:

I'm sure he means that they'll be listed as < 5mw to avoid inspection or to avoid them being blocked by customs

Actually that's ok that I can't order the 635nm 200mW because now I can order the HL405- 500mW and get a 635nm as a gift It doesn't need to be super powerful I just want to see the colour

So to sum it up:
Offroad please change my order from HL635 - 200mw to HL405 - 500mW + 635nm 20mw gift

Can I have my 80mw pen removed please. Per Blord's advice if it's not a true 460nm and is indistinguishable from a 445 M140 them I'm not really interested. I'm still on for everything else though! :yh:

Offroad, due to the recent news, I'll have to modify my order too; if you would be so kind as to please cancel my previous order and replace it with a new order for the following:

One 635nm - 130mW pointer @ $?
One HL405 - 500mW @ $115
One HL460- 100mW OSRAM (single mode) @ $65

I changed your order now! I also changed the price of the 130mW 635nm pointer (official 120mW) to 55$ ( 6$ cheaper) The people that had a 200mW version i will change your order to a 120mW model untill you decide to remove change or keep it!

Update 1：
now we have no laser diode to produce 635nm pointer 200mW,
and the heatsink make the power not stable,
so we only can provide 635nm pointer 130mW,please explain that to buyers.

Yikes. This borders "deal killer" for me. I need to give this some thought. I may be changing my order. I'll be watching this thread, today, to see how the news unfolds and people react to it.

We can give him credit for discovering the problem early, and being up-front about it. I guess it's not that big of an adjustment, 200mW to 120mW.

I'm also a bit confused about the gift situation? Can you ask him to clarify? Personally for myself, if I could get a few sets of style 3 red blocking goggles, that would be better.

We need someone with a measuring tools for the wavelength. I know only RHD and Cyparagon has such spectrophotometer.
460nm is just good to be true. I order one for the single mode spec and not for the color.

I'm going to mull over my finances this weekend to see what I can do. I'm very tempted to drop the 300mW HL and go for a 1W 650nm for example.

The HL460... most likely keeping, but again not certain. I don't want to ask you to update anything until I'm back to being 100% sure
