I hate to sound like a rah-rah guy, but since everyone in this GB is going to use Paypal, would it not be a good idea to add 2 or 3 dollars extra and donate it to LPF. I clicked the tab
"Donate" last month and did not know the forum sets a monthly monetary goal every month I guess for administrative costs. Their monthly goal is really not that much and if everyone in this GB kicked in a few bucks they would meet their goal a little quicker.I sent a few dollars with my last Paypal transaction and have vowed every laser purchase I make thru Paypal , to send in a few dollars to LPF. When I joined this forum last July I really knew nothing of this hobby and have learned so much thru the forum and its members, and it is only right to give back, even a little at a time. Just a thought, rah rah rah

Donated on the 1st and every month since I joined. I believe any extra that Offroad gets he said is going to go to the forums (has a few extra from me it looks like if my calculations are correct from the GB right now):)

Pman i was just joking with you. it's all good, the prices are great and that laser seams like it should be alot better then the HL so i don't blame you for upgrading, but am just kinda suprised that not more people went with the PL over the HL.

I bought the HL model, because I think it would be a hassle trying to carry around a PL when I want to use my laser. I really like the HL host, and in my opinion, I think it's more attractive than the PL. That's just what I think.

I do like the hl host don't get me wrong but its still a bit long for carrying around as less my 532nm as I would like to not damage it. But am excited to get both pl lasers.

Thanks aw... all good :wave:. Keep wondering if they possibly bin them and put the better ones in the PL units (hoping). Was going to suggest the caps to get you to 500 but you beat me to it (and you allready own HL units). I needed to change something up as I didn't need 2 OSRAM pens especially seeing as I allready have the HL 100mw version in my list also. Freed me up $65 and I own so many pens that getting another pen tripod that can hold the button in made sense for me. My LPM read almost exactly the same as Blords test on a recent unit he sent me so I should be good to go testing it.
Funny thing is I noticed that Offroad may have to update the shipping again as Infin is over 7kg I believe :na:

I've carried the HL host in my jeans pocket, no problem. Actually kudos to Skylasers, the laser still looks like new... the anodizing is pretty good.

It is a little long, but completely manageable.

I'm actually a bit puzzled by the length, the HL445 is in the same host(?), but it is 2x16340.

I guess the module could be taking up that space... but my guess is everything is still above the main red power button. Which begs the question of why not leave more space for a larger battery?

I'd love to see one of these torn apart and examined :p

@Offroad, any chance we could just see pictures of what the lasers look like before assembly? Just the host & parts or something like that?

I'd tear one of mine apart, but I think that would void warranty... :tinfoil:

Edit: Yeah, lol, didn't realize shipping would run that much... ouch... still I'd much rather pay that for fedex vs whatever used last time, that gave a lot of people anxiety ulcers, taking over a month in shipping. I'm going to revise my order somewhat, but probably around the same number.

Yeah I bought an hl532 300mw in the last group buy. And yeah I might add a tripod to the order if need be but don't really need it as I just got a couple more from dx the other day.

I was trying to figure out how I could scare up a few more bucks as I absolutely will not touch any regular pay money because my wife is having some undiagnosed (as yet) potentially disturbing health problems (in fact, she's going in for another test this morning) and I'm going to be getting ALOT of medical bills soon.
Remembered that I had a couple months worth of toll receipts that I get paid back for. Turned them in yesterday and got a check for $50.75 (seems silly to get excited about this but hey, I'm not going to be spending anything for quite awhile it looks like).
One of the guys I work with owes me 30 but he's broke and I've basically written that off (not a big deal).
I don't have a magic couch so that's not going to help. Have a bunch of toll change in my truck but I need that. The only thing that I would consider dropping from my order is one of the pen tripods which would give me another 12 and the 635 pen for $55. This would give me 117.75 and will be enough to cover an HL405. If you look at my sig you can see what I allready have in the "red" catagory so why should I go with the 635rather than the HL option? Color wise I find it hard to believe I'm going to see the difference between a 635 and 638.
Inputs anyone?

Leaving in a moment to go with my wife to her appointment but I'll likely be sitting awhile by myself and will have my smartphone on me. Looking forward to some response from you guys. Blord :wave: would certainly know the answer to this one I'm sure but all input is more than welcome:thanks:

They are the same colour. Even 445 diodes vary in wavelenth. I have had kinda purple 445's and bright blue 445's while they were the same diodes. I believe you don't even see it when you compare them next to each other. You won't ever know what wavelenth you exactly have untill you put it under a scope like RHD has.:o

Yeah thats what I thought. Don't really see the point when I would rather have the hl so lets do what I wrote and drop the 635 pen and one tripod and add the hl 405:thanks:

you sure? because in your previous post you said the pen tripod and the pen laser would cover the HL405. That is not correct.

12+55=67$ the HL405 is 115$ That is a difference of 48$ also shipping maay change did not calculate that.

Got it!

@ the rest payment PM will be sent when the GB is closed. The reason it is not earlier is that i don't want to get a payment and then that people change their orders after payment. I would have to adapt my order file and payments would get a mess in paypal.

Please prepare 3 days till payment
