The Flux (in syringes) I got from you works great when I need a
little extra flux on a cold or dry solder joint.. Good stuff...

I use (exclusively) Multi-Core 0.025" or 0.032" rosin core solder in
the shop...
There are 5 separate flux cores in the Solder cross section so
you get the right amount of flux with every solder joint.

I use multi core solder only myself and I find I get better joints when I use the flux also, it only takes a pin head amount so very little is used but it realy makes a differance in how well the solder wets the parts so I end up with a better solder joint :yh:

and yes it will make a cold solder joint warm :D

Do you have any specs on the wire Jeff? How does this wire stand up to high voltage? Like around 12-15KVs?

Does it compare to GTO wire?

There is no specs as to the voltage limit.
since it's silicone it would be higher than PVC and a pvc wire
this size generally has a 600 volt limit so I could only guess
this wire would only be good for 1-2kv it could very easily be more but I have nothing to confirm that.
If you already have a high voltage PS I could send you a length and you could give it a go :tinfoil:

@ meatball you wire is packaged up and will be on the way on Monday ;)

The voltage rating is dependent on insulation type and wall thickness. For PVC, the rated voltage is generally 300V for 15 mils (0.015 inches) and 600V for 30 mils (.030 inches). That obviously doesn't mean it won't handle more for short periods, though. We tested wire to 10X the rated voltage. It can even take 40X, but not indefinitely.

We didn't work with silicone, but looking around online, Silicone can potentially be rated for 5KV for a .015" wall.

Paypal sent. Being a retired auto tech, this gives another meaning to the term "hotwire" :D

Got my stuff today jeff! I really appreciate the heat shrink tubing also!

That is a HELL of a lot of wire for 5 bucks! Awesome deal!
I can't wait to use this flux either
