Also, if want to estimate the beam specs such as the divergence then just measure the beam (B dia1&2) at two specific distances (d1&2). It is best to use a vernier to measure the spot. Then use this equation:
(B dia2 [mm] - B dia1 [mm])/(d2 [m] - d1 [m])=Divergence [mRad]

I'm afraid I cannot help in that department, I can say it's not as tight as a 532 dpss laser but it's not far off either,

I can't help with calculations sorry!

I'm using its original collimation lens so it should be very similar to most PGL or Spartans NO!

Makes sense it isn't as tight as 532 at a longer wavelength, greater divergence goes hand in hand with that, or were you referring to beam width?

Awesome stuff, first time I've seen a 589nm laser in a custom host. Looking on it now the yellow contrasts very nicely with the silver colour. Nice build!!

Yikes! 6K, addicted to internet and lasers both. So, what's next? PBS cube combine the outputs of two modules? Double the cost plus, but so much more yellow too.

If any of the forum member is interested he can buy laser module from us and the housing from you.
The only difficulty is that maybe not everyone is good at assembling. How difficult to assemble that?

I'm not sure what ever comes to mind,
I have been wanting to combine 2 or 3 405s for a very powerful handheld, or maybe a pink or cyan handheld, possibilities are endless, love this hobby!

Yes Australian dollars,
I don't sell any of my custom builds the module was about $700 and since the host is custom, built very well and one of a kind and because I needed a thread title I figured $1000 is very close to the mark!

£600 for a custom host 589 is not too unreasonable considering that the DL Spartan is around £400 nowadays.
Yes, definitely update your sig, as you now have a very unique and special laser in your collection.
And your new avatar pic is really nice to look at. :beer:
