Australian dust storm!!

Well for every one who doesn't know there was a massive dust storm today which covered the NSW and QLD state. It was a massive wall of dust which blocked out the sun for most of the morning and left a nice layer of dust on everything!

So I was just wondering if any one got some pics of a laser in the dust.. I didn't even think of it at the time! but I'll post some pics soon of my car and also my laser in the semi-cleared air!

I saw a bit of that too since I live in the ACT, but there was a lot of rain shortly after so that kind of cleared it all away for us, so no lasering (but it was my first thought when I saw it, lol).

lol your quicker then me... I thought of it once I got to skool.. about 2 hours after I saw the dust! was it as bad as it was here.. or did you only get part of it? btw ill upload some pics of my car in the morning! LMAO its covered in dust and the morning dew didnt help either!.. going to have fun cleaning it on the week end LOL..

Thank you for posting that video. It was incredible!!! I can't imagine experiencing anything like it. Up here we get whiteout snow, but it really doesn't come close...

That frikkin dust made it all the way up here! I live about 2000km or so away from Sydney ...

Seems to have lost it's red tint, but it's still here slightly, 3rd day counting ...

If you have a high resolution version of the first picture... I'd love it for a desktop background. I have a thing for interesting photos like that...

That's no fun though, since it doesn't exactly melt like snow - plus the added consequences of soil loss.

Thats a massive wave of dust! estimated at 40 million tonnes of dust!
