Thanks for the advice. I do try to stay away from gas lasers because I don't know a lot about them and they are so fragile, but this one looked like a tight package.

I wouldn't take the plunge with something like an Argon, it's a large investment. I started with a Red HeNe for $30 from Dave. Check my sig for the completion of said HeNe.

And to TJ, I checked his negs a bit before you posted that, and saw one saying they couldn't get a refund because his paypal was locked. I would highly recommend steering clear of this. Sorry to kill the seller's rep more, and I don't like being that guy and just being a banshee to people, but who knows what this box could hold.

Because you dont have an argument.

T_J has just blown you out the water.

If you were presenting this case in a court of law , you wouldnt have a leg to stand on.
Unsubscribing is probably the best thing you can do.
 
As for this type of argon, I don't think there is a separate control unit for it(at least that I'v seen). The power is controlled via the back of the unit. Its a plug and play unit.

These lasers are VERY cool, all in one units and relatively small for what they are.

For most gas lasers, especially if your looking at spending $300+ I wouldn't purchase it unless I saw at least a picture of the unit running and lasing. Also a return policy shouldn't be a problem for the seller if the unit works.

EDIT: I looked a bit more, and this unit does take a remote interface but does not need it to run.
