Pontiac yeah, I thought the forward clicky was the side (still learning). Thanks for the explanation Prototype.
Pontiac no I don't need to take those sections apart for any reason I can think of. I think you the builder here should do what you see fit and quite frankly I think pressing those parts together makes for a very strong build that may be more H2O resistant. Beautiful work man!

jakeGT thanks for getting this going this is a great idea.

Hey Pontiac, Thanks for the explanation! That would be simpler on your end, and still should be easy enough to take apart and install our components. Thank you for your time and effort!

Well....
I know I posted in the other thread saying that I would be in...

But I have a lot going on right now (job and money stuff),
and a build pretty much already planned and about to order.

But depending on the price and the date, I may be interested....

If anyone wants a side clicky I could modify the host by machining an aluminum plug for the rear and relocating the switch to the side

Helios: I don't see why we couldn't simply have both a rear AND side clicky. Is there any problem with having two clickies? I can't see any.

its up to pontiac on the design and how he builds them. this is all according to pontiac, so were going by what he can do and work with, if you want a side clicky, dont get one or get one and modify it yourself, he has stated he will be making bottom clickys and only bottom clickys! so hope that clears everyrthing up, nobody has any say in how he makes them. How he makes them is what we will get!

I understand this - but there's nothing wrong with voicing an opinion re: what would be cool to see :)

I think it should have a side clicky and safety keylock.. IMO tho. Makes the host more interesting

post 473!

I know, it would be cool, but what's being made is what being made! All is good tho, it shall still be a wonderful host for a properly built 445 when I get mine!

That's a very good point Jake! I mean we all have different ideas, and features we would like to see in this new design. However, as was stated, Pontiac is the man who is going to have figure out how to make this happen. I also feel he is doing us a favor by even considering doing this! In short some of us may have to compromise, in what we want, vs what gets produced.;)

Because the side clicky adds more work to the construction (more work means more cost) AND in the event you didnt want a side clicky its much harder to plug a side hole in an anesthetically pleasing way than a back hole. If you want a side clicky its as easy to get as sending it to someone with a drill press.

Asking pontiac to install these on 30-60 hosts when hes only volunteered to take care of the machining is a bit over the top I think. If you want extras I would imagine you will need to add them yourself.

If anyone wants extras but does not have the means to do it themselves I could take care of them. Just PM me.
