Anyone ever work with the NECSEL 10 watt 520nm before??

Here's some other stuff from them, lot of info on this site, looks like that module is made up from 20-24 emitters and makes a lot of waste heat, but it's the multiple emitters that may be the biggest issue.....if it can be fiber coupled which I think it can, then maybe we could collimate from the fiber output, I really would like to see some bigger single emitters even multi mode.

Seeing as it has an SMA fiber connector on the front it's safe to say that yes, it can be fiber coupled.

Necsel has a collimator for it. I've sent them an email to see if I can buy some parts for these.

There are vids of these types of Necsel lasers in operation. The vids are rather noisey do to the cooling used I think.

Very cool find. can't imagine what they cost new. If they have a .22 NA fiber with 600um core you should be able to get about a 1mRad collimated beam with aprox 5" starting beam diameter. so, a 300mm fl lens with 150mm dia should get the beam collimated.

It is also more than possible that the 10 watt rating is a maximum that they use for several different packages and these cannot do that much power at all.

They are theater projector components. New cinema projectors are using diode pumped DLP technology (My 65" TV is a Mitsubishi DLP) and the image is stunning. These modules make up the light engine in big screen projectors. They are very real.

I found that liquid cooling for CPU use is perfect size, and within a reasonable budget. small radiators with muffin fans.
An aluminum block drilled for water flow (thermal exchange unit) could be easily fabricated with just a drill press.

Around the 12 minute mark in this video you hear about the laser light engine in this longwave/shortwave setup and there are red, green, blue and YELLOW lasers in these.......mmmmmm big yellow lasers
