$90 Laser Engraver Kit?

Very impressive improvements. I'm wondering if anyone has bought the bigger machine? I like the idea of the larger work space.

I noticed they are out of stock on Banggood, searching around I found this
300MW/500MW DIY mini laser engraving machine laser marking machine engraving machine engraving graphic 17*20CM

It looks similar, in fact maybe it is the new version because they mention about for 2015 it now has 3 motors....

Some digging : china plc center is also known as JingBiao Automation Co., Ltd

I wonder if and when Banggood get stock it will be this new design.

That same thing on banggood was listed in the first few posts. So yes, they already have it.

I agree they are the same as some of the pictures...

except one picture is the new design and has two motors on one of the axis.
I'm wondering if china plc is the original source of the product.

Also I'm reluctant to pre-order from banggood if they don't have the new model.

Correction:

On image mode, it does individual pulses. On GCODE (actually, it calls it "NC"), it does nice fluid movement.

Anyone have a suggestion for a free, Windows based program that generates NC / GCODE from images?

Raster vs Vector mode! RHD - you should offer these for sale with a 2W module already installed. :D

Excellent idea! (If I had a shop)

You're probably thinking of sir DTR :)

The drivers aren't terribly expensive to make, and I think I posted the schematics / board files. Anyone is welcome to use.

I got mine today !!! The pictures are starting to make sense to me.
BUT ---
1. What are the little horse shoes with holes for? OH for laser mounts ....
How are they attached?
2. Do I need to remove the "optic" stuff from the sleds.
3. Where is the simple software for this device? I need the "SIMPLE"
program that draws that duck.
HMike
On the lower Y drive, I'm thinking of removing the optic and using the magnets
to hold the platen on center and level.

Hello Mike, I have a file here I named Desktop laser machine software, it may had already had that name when i downloaded it, my firefox downloads history shows that I got it at banggood.com, it is 3.4k in size.. wow it gives me an option to goto the download page yet that is on another computer.

The bangood page says

The software should be linked from the product page on bang good. If it's not, I may be able to find the install package still on my system somewhere tomorrow, but it should be online. I think it was about 50mb, but I may be wrong.

Magnets on the bed is a great idea that I'm going to adopt too :)

Thanks for the software help -- I'm too old to learn programming :-(
Those magnets are aligned and strong. I read 0.271" gap and I can
machine that. The platen will hold and likely a laser on the X axis.
