I'm hopeful, but not optimistic that these will ever be available outside of such occasions like this deal, or similar other ones that may happen in the future.
That being said, I'm not too up to date on the uses of wavelengths. Still though. 515nm, 488nm, 473nm, all new diodes that emulate ion and/or DPSS.
I'm sure there are a few applications that don't require precise conditions such as those provided by ion and DPSS, they will probably switch to diode. If anything, a 473 diode will be MUCH more stable than dpss. However an ion replacement diode, with it's WL variance, who knows.
I just don't see a laser company switching to these for personal lasers. Also, at such VERY low powers, a PJ company won't either.
If these ever go into 500mW+ then you may see them. Doubtful though.
Really wish I could pull the trigger on these though, just hopeful another opportunity comes by eventually.
If ARG is running it with spectro and lpm measurement like the pl520 torture then I'm in!
We should raise a quick donate topic...
Hell i would donate $50 to see it go pop
Well I doubt these will be cheaper again, so I feel like that'd just be a money pit
