5W ophir 20C LPM by Offroad now + datalogging

Re: 5W ophir 20C laser power meter by Offroad

Thanks :)

Well if you gather a few people in the us that want one. I could buy a few sets and ship them to you guys in the states. But i am sure you can get project boxes in the US too. Somewhere

Yea radio shack sells plastic ones And big sheet metal ones but nothing that big or of that quality. I wonder if i can find one like that online.

Re: 5W ophir 20C laser power meter by Offroad

Then again it is your LPM you could even use a few of
these....:eg:

I plan on buying a few of these for my shop when I start getting things set up.

I also want to get one for my light switch in my room. To prevent having full AC power exposed I will be using a relay to active the full power and only run 5/12v to the switch. I also plan using one of these for my computer's power switch with some creative circuitry allowing me to boot it by completing the switch and to shut it down softly by opening it.

Nice idea of using a 3P switch.
I looks like a fire switch used on missile launchers...

Great job. I especially like the case and the Red display.

Data logging coming soon I'm guessing.

Re: 5W ophir 20C laser power meter by Offroad

Ohhh my god how nice of you!
After a hard day of work reading this puts a big smile on my face :D

Thank you Offroad for this wonderfull LPM!
I really like the clean inside and outside look, and the battery containers are really handy :D

My ''now'' old LPM had the battery's loose inside it, so everytime they run out of juice you had to put them in just right to get the box closed again.

In your picture's it look like this is no problem anymore for me :D + it takes 3× 9V cells.

I couldn't be more happy what you made for me, and would like to thank you once again for doing this! :thanks:

I know what i'll be doing this weekend :D

Thank you.. +1

Cheers, Sm.

Hey offroad i've got to ask are using anything to drop voltage to the volt panel??

Re: 5W ophir 20C laser power meter by Offroad

@ thanks! no problem mate! Have fun with it :D :D

@ jerry, thanks means allot coming from the lpm master here

@ awillis, no this display takes anything from 6-15V :) i really like this display as it is capable of reading up to 20V or 20W in laser power. ( you would only have to heatsink the ophir head for that ) but it can go up to 20W and reads voltage 5 times a second for ultra fast lpm'ing :) :)

Greetings,,
