5mW 473nm Laser Pointer

I can tell you you won't get any 473nm rated diodes for under $1000... The same can probably be said with $4000.... Unless they made room inside the RGB for a DPSS unit you have a 445.

As for the 473nm labby, that's up in the air.

I don't care if the rgb doesn't have a 473. The important part is the lab laser that indeed is a dpss.

I just ordered one laser from laserlands and it should have arround 80mw and the cost was $190 but it is not a pointer it's a lab style laser, that in my opinion it's even cooler if you never had one.

no way will it be a DPSS 473== i hope I am wrong- but it could be not a 445 as its kinda ahrd to get just 80 mW from even the aa-130 445 diodes- lasing threshold is IRC around 200 mW and lower it becomes pulsed and no longer CW, so that leaves the 450mW doides -- the size of the heatsik should tell you- 473 labbies have a huge on- there usually aside form all the regular stuff pump- crystal etc a set of correction optics inside there too.- and for 8omW expect to pay more than 300$ did you check Merry's feedback & completed sales??

update
if it the actual one in the listing photo then is is 473-- but LL has a bunch of red feedback 12 in 12 months- and those comp. sales sez they sold 4 i dont see the FB on them..you paid for the 50mw correct??

It is a DPSS 473, laserlands posted in the companies section about them. I think they are left over stock.

I´m pretty sure that it´s a 473nm. Merry for sure knows the differences next to 445nm. I´ve dealt with laserslands several times i the past, had only good experiences.
One time I asked about their 500mW 532nm handheld, Merry told me that it has >40% IR leak and that´s the reason why it is that cheap.

So I highly doubt that you´re going to get anything else than a 473nm

^^^^^^

"So I highly doubt that you´re going to get anything else than a 473nm"

That is what the buyer of Merry's RGB module thought too...

and AFAIK it was NOT a 473 it was a 445- if you look at all the 473 lab pics at LL you can see that they have all have same pic- as i said above if the lab laser in queston looks EXACTLY like the one at the eekbay listing then i am sure it will BE a 473-- I think the one ordered must be the 50mW version as the OP says he 'thinks. it will output 80 mW - & thats just wishful thinking & I serlsy doubt it will even make spec -let alone overspec.

Its the only one with BIN at $180

ONE buyer got lucky with this module when it was at LL auction- paid a little more than 150$usd.

use the completed listings at feeBay to find not the asking price BUT what they were actulally sold for-- also always check sellers rep--

Definitely 473nm, a 40-50mW 445nm laser would have a much smaller head.

Ok so then these LL 473nm lab laser modules are pretty cheap? Unless its 50mW IR and 10mW 473nm... anyone know if these modules are good deals?

Try it out and let us know.

My experiences with DHOM lasers have always been happy ones, it will be up to spec, if not more.
My 300mW DHOM was 400mW :)

Dang now I'm spending even more money lol I'm already saving up for a couple gas lasers and now I'm getting into labby's... As for the LL lab laser, it's $10 more for Analog modulation, so I should get the TTL modulated one right? I'm not going into building projectors sooo (at least, not right now)
