574nm 36 mW Yellow Laser

I got delayed at first- by sending PP to Freeman-- refunded then sent correctly-- meanwhile others get theirs and none for me (yet).
FReeman has replied and we are good -- but my two pcs not making it meant AixiZ atm can only hear about the possibility of wholesale buys of 100 pcs- no doubt much better wait than NOT getting the best they can make-- but damn-- maybe he will upgrade me a tad.. AixiZ ~12+ years ago offered IIRC CNI DPSS yellows almost all you sold to universites- schools =labs etc and NOT for PJs or show use--

big heads (like the 473s) w/ even bigger PSs- only guessing (maybe someone bought one) $600+ and iirc say 100mW-- since AixiZ replaces DOAs etc- he sent 'free seconds'
-- to almost all buyers -

had to take them off inventory or have none left for more fails replacement- and so it goes--He could not give me any of the 'fails' because he did not ask for them back-he did not have a working one left either.- yes Chuck is one of the good guys-- Im blessed to know him-- and pissed that I have let him down by NOT getting samples in what now seems a LONG TIME ago..

BUT deja vu all over again if Chuck ended up replacing many.

Sorry to hear about your dilemma, Len. It's a shame that you got the wrong PP addy and had to wait for the returned funds. I believe that OPT will work this out eventually. For your sake, I hope it is sooner than later.

Considering the terrible luck AixiZ had even ,many years later-- Chuck will have a hard time convincing the wife (Xia) and partner to invest a lot in yellow--fool me once etc
I figured at best IF they could improve I *might* be able to put together a GB for 20-30 pcs(min is 100 pcs)for ship $avings mostly --get AixiZ to buy part and I buy the remaining of 10 or 20 PCs-- not hard to do IF I could turn back the clock before 100pcs ,I bet have been sold in ones- twos. threes and a 10 order ... IIRC

My BB8M driver is on its way to me now. I have a BB3 in my stock already. The M462 I ordered the same day still hasn't shipped yet and I emailed, then PMed Jordan yesterday and the day before. Still waiting for an answer or a message from the USPS that it's been picked up.

I have bought more astral drivers too. I've used several of them on many Sharp diodes. Especially recently.
 
Does anyone have any new info?

I've sent Freeman a message four days ago and he hasn't even read it yet.
 
I heard from Freeman yesterday. He told me he will contact me as soon as these new lasers are ready for sale. The hope is that it will be another week. I hope so.

Yeah, I guess he is trying to do the best that he can under the circumstances. I know it is frustrating, but I do believe they will have more for sale. When is the only real question.
 
I have ordered and received items from OPT Lasers twice so far and they have been very good to deal with. My understanding is the current batch of crystals they use are defective and they are waiting for more to arrive. It is up to each individual whether they want to wait or ask for a refund. My experiences have made me feel that this company is trustworthy. But, that is just me.
 
Aussie's back to selling both 565 and 575nm on feebay. I'd like a 565m but I'm not sure if he is selling the ones with bad crystals...

Also he's claiming those drivers can be analog modulated. Anyone tried that? Can it harm the driver if it ends up supporting just TTL?
