As we all know, 445nm is also good for fluorescing a lot of common household items. 405nm is good for it as well since it is more in the UV range than 445nm. I however have found that when used in conjunction with the wicked shades that come with the arctic and making the beam incredibly big with a lens allows you to "see" fluorescence you normally wouldn't see. I walked through my living room looking at the carpet with the laser shined onto it. With 405, quite a few things show up but under the 445, the floor literally came alive with all kinds of small particles of debris that I had no clue was even there. You can see it a small amount with just the bare laser, but the laser itself is so bright that you can't see it all that well. Since the wicked shades cut out the 445nm, all you see is the florescence. It is AMAZING. and kinda disgusting as well.

Check it out for yourself and report your findings.

That is very cool.I have been doing this for years using near uv led's as the source and very dark orange lenses.Check your toenails and fingernails. If they glow orange, it is probably fungus!Plant leaves glow a dull red too.
Anything organic will light up to some extent.Sea shells are cool as well.
DO NOT CHECK YOUR PILLOWS.Trust me on this!
It is a fascinating technique, and the 405nm that can be defocused would be outstanding for this.Enjoy!

I noticed this effect some time ago with blue LED lights and some red glasses. I agree with the others, don't do around the house unless you are prepared to do some vacuuming afterwards :P

i have an all white racing helmet and when my 405 is on and spread, and my uv glasses are on i can see all the drips in the paint. it was wierd. it looks so runny and sloppy. but in normal light it looks as smooth as glass. and i have this orange price tag that when i hit it with 405 or 445 the reflection is so intense. almost as intense as a double rainbow.

WoooOOOoooWWW!!!
A double rainbow!

.... What does it mean??

=3, anybody??

It's just a rainbow, no need to have multiple orgasms!

...Cause that'll show up under 445nm.

I learned this with my 2W UV flashlight and my o-like glasses, it made me feel like an agent at a crimescene lol..

It is pretty cool, check out the photo of my living room when I shine a 445nm laser in it.

Ya I had fun with a 405 doing this, I noticed walls (especially light switches) had spots that florescent, and bathrooms had a lot (soap?)

I don't think it would be that fine of an outline Bionic-Badger :yh:
